Enjoyed my stay. They have good connections for tours and they are right on the main strip. A good place to stay!

These people are idiots. I prepaid the hotel on hotel.com. I get there and the fight with me saying did not. They made me pay again. Then a day later they find out it was their mistake. Now I have to get a refund. Very poor service. .

I love El Colonial,every time I go to Granada I stay there.

The hotel oozes old world Colonial charm and is in a fabulous location on the central park of Granada. The staff anticipates the needs of their guests and goes out of their way to please and attend to the satisfaction of their guests. There are two small pools that are nicely placed on the grounds. Hotel transfer service to and from the Managua airport was perfect and the drivers, Julian and Wilfred, were extremely helpful and polite. They also conducted tours for me and were very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this hotel.

I wont be going back. Very disappointed. I will make this short, and to the point. Whatever you do don't get a room on the second floor facing the street. The noise was off the chart, heat rises, so your very warm upstairs. A.C only works while your in the room. Lights are operated by a key card once you get in. You have to leave the key card in the slot to keep the lights on, and the AC to work. So if you leave your room and want to leave the AC on, and have a NICE COOL room to comeback too, forget it... Not happening... The ceiling fan in the room doesn't do much good either. On one of the mornings I woke up to start my day, I had to call down to the front desk, there was no water... There are water shortages from time to time I was told... 30 min later, I had water. Now as for the (Staff)... Mixed bag, some friendly, some didn't care, or just rude. As for Breakfast... It was about the only thing that was good. Worth the $ paid. Now as for WIFI.... LOL... Very limited, or no signal in your room. You have to be in the lobby, and outside near the pool for any type of signal. (It's free, but very hard to get going. Lastly, You cannot have any guests in your room! No visitors, or you get charged... Rooms, are dated, bed was so-so (next to hard). Only nice thing about where the hotel is located... Central Park is right outside the lobby door...

We had a wonderful time staying at this hotel. It was beautiful, clean, up to date, and had great hotel service. The two pools they have are lovely and fun to be at the swim up bar. I would highly recommend this place to stay!

Right in the heart of Granada, half a block away of the central park and the Cathedral, the Hotel Colonial is a safe and very confortable place to stay. Walking distance from every highlight of the city.

Great location right off the square, nice helpful English speaking staff, refreshing pool setting, comfortable big room. I would recommend this hotel. Only setback was the coffee was a bit much (a dollar a small cup). Did not know that before I drank three of them. Had I known, I'd have opted for their three dollar small breakfast with I am sure, had endless coffee. But definitely not a deal killer, just dumb on my part.
