Would stay there again

This was our second stay here. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere is great and the food is very good. We arrived when weeding reception was being held and it was all coped with extremely well. The hotel is a local meeting place and felt very friendly. You might need a little German though.

We stayed here en route to Vienna for a quiet, easy stopover and were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was good, the room was spacious and comfortable. The stopover was very good value and is very easy to find from the A1. Two points to bear in mind: the place is off the beaten track - you might need to brush up your German and also (as is normal in Austria) there is smoking in some public rooms - although we were asked if we wanted a non smoking room to eat in. All in all a good stopover and a good base to explore the Wachau.

Not great. Wanted to stay in the Wachau valley to visit Abbey at Melk. The hotel was farther than I thought. Staff although tried to be friendly, did not speak English. Rooms outdated. Dark and gloomy. Food below standard. No airconditioning. No elevator. No mini fridge.
