The Ryebeck Hotel

Lovely friendly family oriented hotel set in fantastic grounds. Plenty of parking which is always a bonus in Windermere. Food was nice and a good choice of breakfast options. Room was a little compact but adequate for our needs. It was however well equipped, modern and clean.

The location was just a little remote. We walked into town but the paths ended and it was a little scary walking down the roadside. If there are safer options to get to the shoreline it would be nice to know. Not a deal breaker we will just get a taxi next time.

We found this hotel on the internet, it had good reviews, we decided to book for 3 nights and paid in full, when we arrived, the hotel looked very shabby from the outside and going through to reception it was the same, on receiving our room key we went up the stairs, the carpet was very dirty, we entered the room, we were so disappointed, it was very drab and not as described in their website, not sure where the reviews came from, there was no way we could stop here, we had to leave and look for another hotel, obviously we would not be getting refund but we found a really nice hotel in Windermere.

Hotel was good location,clean,lovely views. But the staff were helpful, atentif, helpful, always smiling checking if we needing anything

Quirky interior but very comfortable and clean, fantastic location for exploring Windermere and surrounding area.

A fabulous, quirky and beautifully designed comfortable hotel with amazing views and amazing, accommodating staff, especially the manager he went out of his way for us.

It was too far for us to walk to the lake.

Fantastic stay! Very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff, brilliant location for exploring the Lake District, our room was lovely with lots of touches, loved the decor of the lounge and dining room, lovely outdoor areas for when the weather is good. We really enjoyed having a drink by the fire in the evenings. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice. Lovely drink facilities in the bedrooms and the biscuits were a lovely extra. Thank you for a lovely stay and we will definitely return.

Staff were really good and food,and gave dog sausages for breakfast and chicken for dinner

Paying for dog,didnt mind paying £25 a night but got no dog bed or bowls. I feel the payment should be a one off payment rather than charged per night.
