The Ryebeck Hotel

Have stayed at the Ryebeck many times over the years, Great location and always comfortable and spotlessly clean. The only thing I can say about our last visit was it wasn’t run in the same way as it always had been in previous years. It used to be run like a well oiled machine, efficiently with experienced staff who were excellent at their job. The last time we stayed we noticed we had to pay separately for food and drink, you couldn’t put charges on the room, plus the staff most of whom were very nice, didn’t run it in same way as it used to be run, they were all very young with not a lot of experience, this is fine as everyone has to start somewhere, but we all thought there should have been an experienced Manager on site, to run it as the grand elegant hotel it always was in earlier years.

Excellent stay from arrival to departure, made so welcome from Tommy and Craig two assets from this hotel, world class service can't wait to return, my wife and I received a marvellous reception

Quirky and staff were friendly and helpful

Most staff were lovely. However the main receptionist was not particularly helpful or approachable. One room within our party was on the top floor, with practically no shower pressure, which was disappointing.

The garden is great for the dog

Too much red cabbage and not enough green cabbage
