East Beach Hotel

Overall, the hotel is nice and clean. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful aside from one lady on the front desk who looks like she didn't want to be there at all. Very grumpy and hot headed. The young guy who sat on the front desk was very helpful and friendly. The room is quite big and spacious but is very hot. They have us a small fan that didn't really help.

The the young man who booked us in was warm and friendly, the cleaner we bumped into was polite and friendly. However, the blonde lady in charge belittled a new member of staff in front of guest, then whe a party of 5 ladies wanted to sit together it was to much effort to push 2 tables together they were told next time request before coming to breakfast, the youn man I the breakfast who we assumed was new was polite and service from he was good. The blonde lady should also be aware that when she is chasing orders up from the kitchen out can hear clearly how she is talking to the staff

Excellent budget Hotel, a stones throw from beach. Ideal holiday spot or relaxing after business in Eastbourne

Very simple and cleab hotel right by the beach. Views are beautiful however some are through the bathroom window. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Good value for money.

In my opinion the hotel needs a refurb, there was definitely a smell of mould when I checked in. They also need to introduce electronic keys to the rooms. Hotel check in closes at 22.30 and the staff kindly agreed to stay until 23.00 if we couldn't make it on time. . There is no car park, only street parking, which was free, but it took a while to find a space. The lift was really scarey. The bathroom was clean but the bottom of the bath was damaged and the shower screen seal was falling off. Breakfast was value for money, we paid extra as it wasn't included in the booking. It was a great meal, unfortunately the service was really slow. Overall I had a genuinely ok stay, we stayed for 1 night and didn't feel it was value for money.

The best part of our stay was the view of the coast! We had a room overlooking the promenade in Eastbourne, and waking up to sunshine and a calm sea was well worth the price. Beds were OK, the shower typical English. We booked late and did not have breakfast included; however, during check-out they told us that it was. Somewhat disappointing not getting the information upon arrival. Overall, the hotel was what you expect from a 3 Star hotel, not more, not less.

clean tidy room, lovely view and the most comfortable armchairs in front of the window to sit and watch the world go by.

I originally booked myself a single room for 3 nights, but single with sea view unavailabe. On my 1st night family upgraded me to a double with sea view. The single room was more than adequate with a beautiful shower room. But having a double with sea view was the icing on the cake. This hotel has been on my wish list for a while. All staff so helpful & lounge area & dining room well decorated & comfortable. Will certainly stay again ☺ Good location for entertainment, shops etc.

The hotel is in a great location, just across the road from the beach. English breakfast was really good (vegetarian meal & non veg) + staff (Sarah) provided excellent service! Hotels room was clean and spacious. Bathroom was new looking. Furniture in room and in lounge/bar/dining areas looked new and in good condition. Bed was comfortable and we had a nice view of the ocean. There is a Sainbury mini supermarket and fish & chip shop only one block away.(behind the hotel). Great value for money and would stay here again!
