Absolutely beautiful place to stay .

Good locatiom.

Room was fine, although there was noise from the courtyard outside

I arrived at 3:40 and was told I would have to pay £10 to book in early. I could understand if that was 10:00 am but not 15:40

The hotel has a pleasing traditional feel, which makes a nice change from many modern hotels, which lack any personality. My room was smallish but attractively and traditionally decorated. The bed was comfortable. The ensuite bathroom was very clean and functioned well. I didn't have breakfast because I had to leave early. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The one-night price compared very favourably with other hotels. Great parking once I'd found it!

I found the third floor quite hard work as I had a fair bit of luggage to lug up the stairs, although reception did offer to help, and when I left, they said they could try to accommodate this if I visited again. My forever wish is that hotels didn't use the sachets of coffee, etc., which are impossible to open; a small jar would be so much better, and a nice touch would be some fresh milk. My room was quite hot, so I had to prop the door open now and again.

The hotel location was excellent with helpful friendly staff and secure parking we did not have breakfast because at very nearly £20 pp we thought this expensive likewise the evening meals
