What a great find this was. I’ll be staying again. Food was also fantastic. Breakfast was next level.

After looking around the local area we decided to hold our wedding reception at the Hinds Head. The building, garden and rooms are quirky, beautiful, clean and warm. From the word go, Frankie, the manager, was helpful, friendly, efficient and easy to talk to. She and her staff all aimed to help and provide an amazing day for us. We had planned to have the reception in the officers mess but due to the weather being fantastic, Frankie and her team, without fuss, changed the reception to the garden for us. We booked the gold buffet option and Buck’s Fizz upon arrival. We then asked for pizzas, salad and chips in the evening. Our room was beautiful - tasteful, comfortable and clean. So the food - the chef at the hinds head is a genius. The food he created with his team was exceptional. All of our guests commented on the amazing selection and the quality. The pizzas in the evening (all home made and wood fired) were amazing - the best I have ever had in this country. Breakfast the next morning was also of a very high standard. I would, without hesitation, say this is the best chef in this area. I would highly recommend Frankie and all of her team to anyone considering a wedding reception. You will not be disappointed. Thank you for making helping to make our day so perfect. I would not have changed a single thing. You have a created a charming village venue and it’s great to also see the different events you hold regularly - don’t ever change

Love the food. The burger is a particular favourite. And the friendly atmosphere. Quiz night is a popular event and it is lovely to see a local pub contributing to local events. Can't wait for the pizzas to come back for the summer.Well done Frankie and Luke

We had a lovely stay. Relaxed and fun. Staff super friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. Only dropped a star as we had a main course and shared a pudding which took over 2hrs all in all. We laughed about it, I can only assume there was a drama in the kitchen and that's 2hy we waited so long. Still, doesn’t put us off, we'd stay again

The most amazing meal served by one of the most enthusiastic Chefs I have ever met whose enthusiasm for his creations was matched by the taste. Friendly staff and Management what an amazing venue. Each dish bursting with exceptional flavours, well worth a visit.

The best roast dinner we have all had in ages. Lovely pub great character but most of all our waitress Yvonne went above and beyond to help us nothing was any trouble for her. We also took our dog who is well behaved and was spoilt when the dog menu appeared which is a great idea. Can’t wait to return.

First visit here but won't be the last. Excellent and friendly service. Really good food. Bit pricier than some but you get what you pay for and everything was delicious. Can recommend the hummus and beef salad for starters, seabass, burger, duck and curry for mains and the sundae for dessert.

Lovely hotel with lots of RAF memorabilia.

Hands down, the best pub Sunday lunch I've had anywhere. We had the beef and the lamb, both cooked to perfection, as was everything else. Piping hot, generous portions. The pub itself is a lovely characterful old building. The staff are a delight and went out of their way to make my 90 year old father feel comfortable and welcome.

Very pretty, clean and well equipped room in a beautiful Country Pub setting. Good selection of breakfast items (I didn’t have the cooked breakfast) Lovely, warm room with fab shower. There was a quiz night when I was there but nothing could be heard from the room. Very friendly staff. Couple of very small things to note, The room I was in got very noise when traffic started to pass along the road to the front. Toaster in breakfast room took about 4/5 goes to even warm the sour dough bread. I did mention this and was told they were aware. Water in the earn used for tea wasn’t hot enough for me personally.
