Interesting location, converted monks cells to hotel rooms, strangely without other character. The hotel needs to advise potential guests the hotel is within a traffic regulated zone, and to enter this requires phoning the police at the barrier to ask entrance to go to hotel.

This is a remarkable hotel almost next door to the Cathedral. Given that it was originally a religious house it has the air of calm and peace not normally found in a town-centre hotel. The rooms reflect the simplicity of the building with simple furnishings, but comfortable beds (additional blankets) and good heating. The modern en-suite, while a little small, provides the usual standard of comfort expected. This hotel is amazing, different and definately recommended.

Interesting drive - GPS essential. Talk to the post at the bollard to gain access to the pedestrian precinct. Wonderful building just below the cathedral. Brilliant views (fog permitting) and a very short walk for restaurants, sights etc. Will go again when in the area.

Hotel quite difficult to locate due to one way systems in Chartres center. We actually parked up and ask two elderly ladies, who walked us to the Hotel. The lovely and very efficient receptionist the gave us a map to follow without which I think I could still be there! Hotel was lovely and exuded a feel of quiet and calm, but the room layout was a little like a dormitory.. The wi fi was good but you had to watch at least 30 seconds of adverts every time you logged in.

We have stayed here about 3 times before and this time was as good as previously. The rooms are basic but very clean, a more comfortable bed would be good, but for the money, I cannot complain. And for the extra the breakfast is well above average for France.

This is a great location. So lose to the cathedral. Room was more than adequate. Staff friendly.

The rooms are simple and fairly basic, but the position is superb, right in the heart of town but peaceful as well. The breakfast (extra cost) was fine and the staff friendly and helpful. The receptionist told us about the son et lumiere show around the town which is a definite must see.
