It being close to a bust stop

Dusty, lots of hair on the floor. Extremely tiny room, one single person can barely move. The guy at the reception was unfriendly. No elevator.

It is very close to the historic city centre of Edinburgh, perfect to go and explore quickly and the private car park at the back is a nice perk. Very easy to check in and out.

"I would stay again!"

Plenty of outlets, counter space, closet/wardrobe space, and sitting room. The shower was hot with good water pressure. Room in the bathroom to hang wet clothes or towels. Comfy enough beds, and plenty of free parking in the back. I enjoyed my stay here! Even though I had to lug my huge suit case up the stairs 😂

"Friendly and helpful staff, plus convenient parking and bus access, but the building itself felt tired and run down."

The staff were friendly and helpful. They allowed us to park before check-in, which made arrival much easier. The hotel is right next to a bus stop, and they provided a useful bus information card. After our long roadtrip, they kindly let us into a closed banquet area so we could use the toilet.

The hotel felt run down overall. The rugs were worn and gave the place a tired look. The shower soap came in small plastic packets, more like fast-food condiment packets than hotel toiletries. Getting three heavy bags up the stairs to the second floor was difficult.
