Northumberland Hotel

Si è a due passi dal centro ma sembra di stare in campagna dietro l'Hotel ho incontrato una volpe e se ne andava a spasso fra i giardini. camera piccola ma accogliente. Biancheria del letto pulita e morbida. In 3 minuti di autobus sei nella Old Town e in 3 minuti a piedi raggiungi il castello scendendo alla fermata South Bridge

La pressione dell'acqua nella doccia era un po' bassa veniva poca acqua.

We arrived early and were greeted by a cheerful staff member, possibly the owner, who was very accommodating. We appreciated being allowed to use a restroom in a staff area, which many places probably would not have offered. There were definitely some positives. The free parking in the rear was convenient and much appreciated. The hotel is also right on a bus line, with a stop just outside, which made getting into Edinburgh and back very easy. That said, the hotel itself felt quite rundown. Our room showed obvious signs of wear and tear, especially the rugs. The bathroom was very small, and the shampoo came in tiny individual packets, more like something you would see with ketchup or brown sauce at a fast-food restaurant. There was no air conditioning, but the front window opened wide. The downside was that our room faced the road, so we had traffic noise. Still, we preferred that over a warm room. The beds were basically metal cots. They were comfortable enough, but very basic. The TV was about the size of a computer monitor, although it did have a good selection of channels. The hotel did clearly state in advance that there was no elevator. We knew we would have to carry our luggage upstairs, but with three people and three large bags, it was still quite a workout. Overall, the staff interaction was pleasant, the parking was helpful, and the bus access was excellent. But given the condition of the hotel and the basic room setup, I would choose somewhere a little more comfortable and probably a bit closer to the city next time.

Comfortable beds. Good sized room. Parking. Friendly and helpful staff.

Could do with a better clean, skirting boards in the bathroom, milk spray marks on the wardrobe. Difficult filling the kettle in the sink. Maybe a smaller kettle?

The property was right next to a bus stop and it was relatively quiet throughout the night.

Location was a bit far away from the main sites. Housekeeping only came once during our stay and only switched out 2 hand towels and nothing else. No breakfast even though it’s advertised on the website. Multiple times we had someone try to get in our room

Horrible; las habitaciones sucias; no cambian las sábanas ni limpian la habitación y huele mal.

les douches n'avaient pas de pression, les chambres étaient difficiles à fermer

Bus stop out the front. Clean.

Reception staff member was very blunt. Hallway and room had unpleasant smells. Bed is only a double. No fridge or microwave. No laundry facilities or onsite restaurant/room service
