Residence Brunner

Quite a long uphill walk from the train station, especially if you have luggage. Hotel is old and needs an update.

The room was large, bathroom had a tub with shower, but it was hard to adjust the water temps to avoid too hot or too cold showers - water dribbled from sink hot tap. Room smelled perhaps because there has been a lot of rain, but had a musty smell we noticed when entering the room each time. Balcony was nice, ditto breakfast. Garden was small but nice. Just a short walk from town and on the way in from hiking the Via Alpina.

Good value for money - clean and comfortable.

The biggest problem with this hotel is that it is a 15 minute hike from town, all uphill and often quite icy. The good thing is that you can ski in and out. Accommodations are adequate, but no better. Breakfast is okay, but never changes. Be careful of upcharges during week of World Cup races.

Everyone at the hotel is exceptionally nice. We felt like staying at home. We had wonderful view of alps from our south facing room. Breakfast was very good. Feels good to get personal attention by the staff. Would love to come back!

A good hotel choice. Our room was comfortable and liked the help yourself selection for breakfast....boil your own eggs, choices of fresh baked bread, yogurts, cereals, cheeses, meats, drinks. It is an uphill walk to the hotel but we enjoyed that we were out of the main part of town. The walk was about 10-15 minutes on a paved street so using roller luggage or backpacks is not a problem. Quiet and nice view sitting outside the front of the hotel. From our room we could see the gondola going up to Mannlichen. Woke to the sound of cow bells in the distant pastures several mornings. Very easy to catch trains down to Lauterbrunnen or up to Mannlichen or Kleine Scheidegg from Wengen. Really enjoyed our stay.

Hotel is situated in the beautiful town of Wengen, surrounded by mountains. Beautiful view! It was a tough uphill walk from the station especially with luggage. Service was good. Room was spacious but a little dark.

it took us 30 minutes to get to the hotel from the station.very tired with luggage.
