Casa de la Noche

Totally relaxing. Best location in San Miguel, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. I was there for the Murder Mystery week—and what fun it was! It was such a unique and enjoyable way to meet and connect with other guests. Each day, the guests who chose to participate met for about an hour—usually over breakfast—and received clues. No one knew in advance who the "victim" would be. We were each given a new identity and stayed in character throughout the week. After breakfast, we either broke up into smaller groups or explored on our own. The week included a wide variety of events: a music and food festival, an art show, a trip to the botanical garden, cocktail parties, dinner at a local’s home, guided walking tours of the town, and of course—plenty of eating and shopping! On the last day, we finally solved the mystery. Everyone had a great time. It was especially nice to really get to know some of the other guests. Several people even mentioned coming back next year for a repeat! Also, it was such a relief to escape the Sacramento Valley’s summer heat. Mornings and evenings were in the 60s and 70s, with the warmest days only reaching about 80—perfect weather.

This beautifully restored property is a gem in a wonderful city. The attention to detail in the restoration brings peace and tranquility to all who crosses their doorstep. The staff shows an incredible level of respect to management and the pride they have in their jobs shows in everything that they do. From the time you walk in the doors you have this sense of peace and gratitude that you are here. I will return often and you should also. Kudos to everyone here.

The hotel is just lovely,with a resort-like feel given the level of elevated amenities, such as massage services. It reminded us of the homes in Andalucia, Spain, where behind a simple street facade emerge lush garden spaces with fountains, stone mosaic pathways and terraces. There is thoughtfully curated Mexican art throughout the large property. Our quarters were private and very comfortable. We noted event spaces on the property that would provide a lovely venue for a wedding or retreat.

The place is beautiful. The staff is excellent and nice. The rooms were beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We were close enough to walk to everything yet far enough away to be quiet. Love this place

Great place to stay while in San Miguel de Allende. Walkable to many historical sites. Plus a variety of tasty restaurants within a 5 block radius. Not to mention numerous art galleries and shops. Hotel is decorated in a traditional Mexican style with artwork from local artisans throughout. Also there are multiple terraces covered in exotic plants and flowers. A relaxing, refreshing and enriching place to stay while in San Miguel.

Casa de Noche arranged a transfer from Mexico City Airport to the front door of this boutique hotel In San Miguel de Allende. Our large room was comfortable with a Mitsubishi AC unit. This was early summer. Barbara, the owner, went out of her way to locate a church group for me. Juan Carlos gave us a couple of restaurants to try which were very good. But the breakfast under the frangipangi tree were exceptional with fresh juice, yogart, toast, and eggs. The other guests were friendly and English conversation was enjoyable. I will be going back this year to get my Residencia Permanente and looking forward to staying at Casa de Noche again.

Charming bed and breakfast in a former bordello. Beautiful courtyard and art in all corners of the inn. Barbara, the owner, and her staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready with a Hola every time we passed. The rooms are intimate but had a Mexican charm. They were the rooms used by the ladies and each is appropriately named with a photo of the workers. An easy ten minute walk to the main square but still off the beaten path. Would definitely stay again!

Staff and property was exceptional.

It is a beautiful place with its own particular charm, the service was incredible and I had a great time, the ambience was cozy and the host and staff truly made it feel like home. The food was excellent! I'll be back.

Very pretty, restful gardens. Wonderful breakfasts. Friendly and serene. Walkable to center and other art- related areas.
