"Le méridien review"

We recently stayed at the Le Méridien Phuket Mai Khao Beach Resort and overall had a very enjoyable experience. The staff were absolutely amazing throughout our stay — always friendly, welcoming and helpful. The food was also very nice and the resort itself was clean, relaxing and perfect for a getaway. The only downside for us was the limited halal food options and the lack of attention towards guests with halal dietary requirements. We noticed that the same gloves/hands used to handle pork products such as bacon were also being used when preparing halal food, and the same cooking pans and areas appeared to be shared as well. As Muslim travellers, this was quite disappointing and made dining a little difficult at times. With a few improvements such as a separate dedicated cooking area and utensils for halal food preparation, this hotel would be even better and much more accommodating for Muslim guests. Despite this, we still appreciated the kindness of the staff and had a pleasant stay overall.

The overall experience, the staff were great and were warm and welcoming. Anything you asked for was never too much trouble. My daughter had a great time and loved the kids club, the pool and activities within the hotel grounds.
