Lucky Star Hotel

Hotellet är ett enkelt hotell som fyller sin funktion för ett par nätter. Det är nog ganska gammalt och är lite slitet. Sängarna var bekväma, men kuddarna för hårda. Ca USD 2-4 för tuk tuk eller mc-taxi till det mesta i stan. Wifi funkade sådär i rummet, men kanon i lobbyn och trapphuset. Personalen i receptionen var hjälpsamma, även om engelskakunskaperna var bristfälliga. Men det är normalt i denna del av världen.

The hotel was nothing special and we could hear every sound from the hallway into our room. In addition the security had their post right outside our room so there was basically no silence during the night. There was a wedding in the hotel restaurant and it was really difficult to find any other place to eat in the area. Only good thing about this hotel was the safety deposit box in the lobby.

Nice room with a great view, if you don't mind a ten minute tuktuk ride into town I definately recommend this hotel. Everything was nice, especially the price, but the location is a bit out of the way.

About 10 mins by tuk-tuk from riverside and main attractions, Lucky Star was a reasonable budget choice for our group. Everything was ok, no problems, breakfast had plenty of choice. For USD15-20 not a bad choice at all.

There are several hotels lucky star hotels at the area. Make sure you check in at Lucky Star 2 which is the newest one. The USD20 rooms are good value. Rooms are big, well lit, clean and have good wifi connection. Make sure you instruct them to give you a room with window. The front desk staff are not that good in English so extra patience is required. The location is just fine, a bit away from the tourist areas so extra budget is needed to go around city.

Were satisfied with our one night at Lucky Star, as we were in transit between Battambang and Sihanoukville and had already seen the city. Some of the front desk staff spoke great English, while others spoke little. The hotel was mostly locals there for a wedding. Lockers available in the lobby. Room was basic but fine. Breakfast was a bit odd (across the street in a different hotel's restaurant) and service was slow.

having a early flight the following morning i decided to book a hotel away from the river area,was not dissapointed,very good hotel,clean,very pleasent staff.and a very decent price.

Although this place is not near the water front and some drivers do not know where is it, the location is still alright coz theres a shopping mall just 10min walk away with good shopping and many eating places and a super mart as well. Russian market and central market just a 10min ride away. Staff is quite friendly, especially the english-speaking lady and there is a security guard who goes around the hotel. So overall feel quite safe here. Opposite is a restuarant where everynight it seemed to have wedding dinners. I stayed a total of 3 nights, and the first night my room was small. When I returned 2 nights later from Sihanoukville, they gave me a bigger room with nicer beds. The toilet was not too clean though and there r so bugs in the room but its still alright. Theres a balcony too where it overlooked the roads. Wifi is stable throughout my whole stay and the tv has alot of cable channels. There's a lift too.

Not walking distance to city centre, only locals stay here and tuk tuk driver got lost taking us back and drove us around for a hour in what looked like a dark, dingy suburb. PLenty more right on waterfront you can turn up to and get a good price for.
