Sheraton Zhenjiang Hotel

Arrived about 20:30 nobody around to help with the luggage. Check In had long line. The rooms are small the bed comfortable the shower had low pressure. Fresh fruit vegetables at breakfast very limited. No fresh juices. All In all this hotel is somewhat Good in many counts but not great. Maybe for zhenjiang it should be considered great. Yes maybe as they Most of the staff don’t speak any English. Executive lounge staff not very helpful. Tried to check in there but couldn’t speak English and had no idea what to do went back to front desk for check in. I came back to this hotel after a few years it seems it got worse.

I was finally back again at Sheraton Zhenjiang. I stayed twice in this hotel in 3 days, each time in two different types of room Hotel location: I travelled to Zhenjiang from Shanghai. When I reached Zhenjiang train station, I exited at the South exit and the Sheraton is just a 5-minute walk or about 500 meters away. Be careful about crossing the road to reach the side of the hotel. When I walked into the lobby, I was greeted by the grandeur of a huge chandelier and the wall “gold painting” above the reception. Hotel staff: As I am conversant in Mandarin, I had no problem during the check-in. But there was no kind welcome on a cold November night, just going through the motion type of check-in. Hotel room: In the first stay, I was pleasantly surprised that I was upgraded to an Executive Suite room on the 19th floor (Club level). The room comes with a bedroom, a living room, 2 restrooms (2 WCs), a bathroom (with bath tub and bathing area) and an open walkway that houses a wardrobe, a luggage room, a safe, an iron, ironing board, sandals, fire respirators and weighing balance. The bedroom has a king-sized bed and a bench in front of the bed. I like the following about the Executive Suite room: (1) Overall spaciousness and hugeness of the hotel room (2) Well maintained and clean (3) Long sofa next to the bay window with a movable coffee table (4) Quiet despite facing the road and on a high floor (5) Fast Wi-Fi speed (connecting to Baidu and WhatsApp) (6) 4 bottles of water (7) “Welcome” plate of fruits, pastry and cookie When I returned for my second stay 2 days later, I got the smaller Deluxe room – without the living room and the open walkway, but nonetheless still spacious. The bathroom and the bedroom are separated by a half-length glass panel in which you could lower electronically the curtain to close off the bathroom. This room faces the Zhenjiang Railway Station, Wanda Plaza and Zhuangquan Road and is quiet. Hotel restaurant: I ate breakfast at the Feast Signature restaurant next to the reception. Besides the limited continental fare, what is special are the Zhenjiang noodle station and the local food fare – congee (red bean, beef, black rice), bean curd pudding, fried bread stick, steam buns and sautéed dishes like eggplant, vegetables. There is no egg station because the sunny side fried eggs, fully fried eggs, tea-boiled eggs and the hard-boiled eggs are already available as dishes. Nevertheless, the Zhenjiang noodles are not cooked with a pot cover over the boiling pot or water (the famous Zhenjiang Pot Cover Noddle). It was good to go early as it got crowded at 7:30am. The clearing rate is so efficient that I have to find another seat when I came back. I did not eat at the restaurant for dinner because there are several restaurants in the vicinity of the Sheraton, such as the popular Tiepes Hot Pot or any restaurant opposite serving the authentic Pot Cover Noodle (镇江锅盖面) I had a fabulous stay at this Sheraton hotel. This is always the hotel of choice whenever i am in Zhenjiang.

Located right next to train station, really convenient. You can stay here confidently knowing the property will live up to the Sheraton standard.

This is the best Sheraton I have ever stayed in China. I arrived during chilli evening of November and had warm welcome at front desk and also splendid surprise at my upgraded room for Gold Elite. I must name Ivy, with her fantastic smile and elite professional service. I needed to go to hospital, I really never forget her kind assistance. Another name was Teja, I really loved the well done steaks. Special thanks to Nick, who accompanied me to hospital; also thanks to candy for nice hospitality. I wish the team best of luck !

Good location, close to train. Bad checkin and checkout experience, the receptionist needs more training. I Wrong price calculation in both checkin and check out, done by two different lady. The young lady on checkin part was defending and justifying all the time, without simply acknowledge the fault... Hardware wise, room looks fine, but smoking smell too much--breakfast looks pretty simple.

Impeccable service, luxurious rooms: everything was perfect in this hotel. The wireless connection to the internet was fast, air-conditioning was ideal and breakfast was quite exceptional. There was a remarkable variety of options for a western breakfast, all of them of the best quality, while my Chinese friends were also impressed by the excellence of the several Chinese delicacies available.

Not so much to choose for breakfast. Even not Chinese. But what they had was good.

Big rooms with big windows and even a tub. Very modern and clean. Only the wifi was a bit slow.
