Sandpiper Ocean Cottages

One of the greatest assets of Sandpiper is the ownership. John and Annette are two wonderful, down to earth people that create a very warm, welcoming feel to the property. They’re fun to talk to and give the place a soul. The cottages themselves are quite sufficient and are stocked with everything you could think of and more. Some places I have stayed at cut corners in this regard but not here. Then there’s the beach! In less than 60 seconds, you can reach a gorgeous beach with practically no one on it. It was nice to return from a long day of hiking at Freycinet and be able to jump into a pristine ocean upon my return.

The kitchen was stocked with fresh eggs, a loaf of bread, a bottle of the best milk I ever had, plus butter & jam & 2 generous jars of muesli and granola. Wine, beer, and sodas were available for a reasonable fee. Coffee, tea, cooking spices, you name it, it was all there. And a big jar of cookies! Amazing thoughtful and fun. I really appreciated it.

No fan in bathroom and shower splashes all over bathroom

The privacy and good kitchen facilities. The welcome basket was much appreciated.

No fan in the bathroom so condensation was a problem. Would have preferred three single beds in second bedroom.

Really enjoyed meeting the hosts/owners. It was a perfect spot for relaxing and enjoying what the area had to offer.
