Hotel The Raj, New Delhi

This hotel was fine - had a very enjoyable stay - the food was really excellent,and the staff at reception will do anything for you - it was My first night in India (or in any Asian country) so I was a little unsettled to say the least and stayed there 2 nights - it was a great place to recharge when acclimatizing to the vibrant (crazy) life of Delhi , the room was very quiet and the shower was great (plenty of power and hot) - hoping to stat again on my return to Delhi later this month before leaving to return home

It was acceptable, but some minus points are there Such as: 1- TV was not working, but when I asked for it they came and fixed it. 2- Soap was not available at Bathroom but when I asked for it they provided it. 3- There was not room slippers but when I asked for it they porvided it 4- Wi-Fi is not working inside the room but it is ok at the corridor just under the router. 5- The Travel Manger of the hotel is not straight man, he could not book my ticket to and from AGRA and tried to convence me to hire a car with a driver from him but I went to the Railway Station and booked the tickets by my self. The hotel is located in a walkable distance to New Delhi Metro and New Delhi Airport Metro which is a good advantage of that hotel

cooperative management, good food, excellent room service.I will be visting Delhi next month aroiund 5th dec for 2 days. over all excellent in all respects.

I was ill when I arrived in Delhi and spent my first night at the hotel before going to the hospital in the morning, I was grateful for one of the staff coming with us even when his shift had finished. For the next few days the staff would always ask how I'm feeling and we often had room service as I couldn't go out to eat (stick to indian dishes, they are best). You feel well looked after here.

Not at all good service....

This is an "Okay" type of hotel in the Pahargunj area, not far from the main road. My rating would have been much better had we not experienced the following: - We booked a family room. When we checked in, it was not vacant so were given two double bed, instead. (Happy about that, though - kids were little upset). - Next day, by the time we returned late in the night from Agra, AC was not working and we were dead tired to move to another room. Hotel staff just left it like that and I felt they did not really bother much. - In general staff we find a bit rude and reckless. Otherwise for the price that we paid, I believe, this is a okay (less than a decent) hotel, if you everything worked fine in the first place. Rooms were just sufficient, if not congested. Washroom was small and not really convenient at all in the family room (double rooms were okay). Breakfast was included in the tariff and it was much decent than we expected. Parking may be a bit of problem, if we go there in the "season" days. For us, our taxi chauffeur (from Chandigarh) could manage because, he had friends in Delhi. Location was the major advantage, as this is not far from Train Station or other markets.

the hotel was nice, clean, hot water, comfortable, large rooms, ...everything worked...no complaints...we had three rooms 6 persons travelling together. Restaurant was the choice for our last night together dinner, we enjoyed. We did have to pay 400 rupee more per room, to get air conditioning which is what I thought I had purchased...at a 25% discount from hotels.com...didn't argue. as it was our last night India.

Rooms are clean.. Washrooms are new.. Staff is very good and sweet.. Vinod is a very humble man at the front desk.. Good value for money ..
