Beechwood House

The location was perfect, and the rooms very clean tidy, fresh drinks and breakfast cereals daily, good value for money

Could of done with a cooked breakfast, but there’s absolutely nothing to not like about this property for the money,

We had 6 days at Beechwood House. The hosts were friendly and knowledgeable of the areas, suggesting places to visit that we didn't know about. Our first impressions when we entered the room was how clean it was. The countertop fridge was well stocked and topped up every day. We'd definitely recommend Beechwood House.

Me and my partner stayed here 2 nights for her surprise birthday trip to St Ives and we loved it, finding the place was easy, as was parking. We checked in with a gentlemen whose name I unfortunately cannot recall but he was so friendly and welcoming, giving us plenty of advice for our stay which we appreciated. Our room was lovey and stocked with plenty of bits for breakfast including cereals, milk, Greek style yoghurts, fruit pots, and croissants as well as bottled water, tea, and coffee, all of which would be restocked and cost us no extra. Our room was cleaned and restocked while we were out. Now the highlight of our stay, I had booed a trip for my partners birthday but had not bought a cake, fortunately she didn’t have a problem with this but I wanted to get a hold of one, I asked the lovely lady running this B&B and she gave me plenty of ideas where to get a hold of one as well as allowing us to check out later which was also very kind. Once I had got my hands on a birthday cake the lovely lady had popped to the shops herself to get a card and gift bag full of sweet treats to say happy birthday which was so heartwarming and my partner was chuffed to bits. A very nice touch, thank you so much!

Location is superb - quick walk from the train station and within steps to the bus line. Jan, the host, is fantastic. Was always there to help and spent a lot of time helping me navigate the bus schedules to get me where I wanted to go. I appreciated the snacks in the fridge each morning. Room was very clean and comfortable. A perfect stay.

Room was a bit small, but I booked a single room with a single bed.

The spring mattress made my back hurt badly .. currently on a very strong painkiller

Perfect location .. bus stops in front of property and train station nearby. We used the bus every evening to go into st Ives. Parking on site was a plus . Small counter top fridge in the room which was topped up daily with breakfast items. Our stay was restful and mainly quiet.

Bathroom a bit small but we managed…no problems really

Excellent location very close to both Carbis bay train station and beach. My single room had everything needed including the seaview! There's also a mini fridge in the room with breakfast included ( two types of cereals, water, milk, orange juice, a pastry, coffee and tea etc) The staff was really helpful and nice - definitely recommended

Hosts Jan and Peter were fab and made you feel at home straight away. The bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean with kettle, tea and coffee. The fridge was replenished every day with water, milk fruit juice and other breakfast items. Beechwood house is ideally positioned for bus and train into St Ives with some local restaurants locally. We will be definitely returning in the future.

Great location with carbis bay beach just being a 5/10 minute walk away. Plenty of local amenities nearby including Romano’s up the road for fresh Italian coffee and pastries.

The room got a bit warm, particularly at night so we had to open our windows for air but a fan or something would’ve been perfect. On our first night there was an alarm that went off about 5am, not sure if someone had tripped the burglar alarm but it woke the whole hotel up.
