Monteverde Country Lodge

Beautiful Landscaping. Nice facilities. The wheelchair access to the restaurant was locked and had table in front of it with people eating at the table. It took them 5 mins to find the key. The next two times I attempted to go to the restaurant the table was back and people had to be moved in the middle of their meal to allow wheelchair access. This was disruptive and uncomfortable.

Nice hotel. I thought the price was a little high for the rooms. Otherwise, it was enjoyable enough.

Beautiful grounds, decent rooms. Location a bit inconvenient, and transport is expensive - cost us $8 to get a ride 3km to the cloud forest. Not much to do between tours - no pool, although some nice lounges. Restaurant is expensive for the quality.

Enjoyable stay at this lodge for visiting nearby attractions. Nice looking manicured gardens and garden ornaments with various walkways to the various lodges, some on multiple floors. There seems to be quite a few crammed in but the site looks well laid out. I think the site would benefit from a pool but not sure where it would go. The room had a big comfy double bed and had good furniture for use. No air con but a fan unit provided air when hot. Bathroom was clean and tidy and a decent size. The shower struggled with warm water in the morning but was useable. The restaurant with small bar seemed to handle the amount of guests we saw and the breakfast and evening meals we had were all very good with a good selection. There is some outside seating for drinks too. Reception is nearby and staff are friendly and helpful. They all give off a good vibe. The hotel is near some additional restaurants that can be walked too. The town and its amenities was too far so would need a taxi. The town seemed to have a lot going for it so worth a visit.

Very nice place to stay in Monteverde, the staff is very friendly and the lodge very cute, definitely recommend!

Nice Hotel in Monteverde. The grounds are very well kept Rooms are ok. Clean. Big Shower. Very good breakfast and good Cofee. Very friendly staff.

Good check in, friendly, happy staff, usual buffet breakfast, clean room, no noise at all from other rooms, good shower, comfy double bed, good evening meal, opportunities to see and photograph variety of birds, excellent chocolate cake !

The woman at the front desk who checked us in and helped us make a reservation in the restaurant was so gracious and helpful that she alone deserves five stars! All staff were great, and treated us with kindness and helpfulness. Upon arrival, we were greeted with ice cold lemonade, which was much appreciated after a long day in the warm weather. The service staff definitely enhanced our stay. Thanks to all!

This is a nice comfortable place to stay. The rooms were very comfortable with good bathroom and shower. The restaurant was OK but we used nearby restaurants for the two nights we were there but these are a short walk away. The grounds are well kept but are limited in comparison to the other lodges we stayed in during our trip. This is a great area to stay as there is a lot to do. If you want a nice room and little else from your stay the Country Lodge is fine.
