Wounderful short stay great location just minutes from main sights walking. The hosts are lovely nothing to much trouble and the breakfast was amazing plenty of choice and accomidated any special requirements x

Sweet family business run by a kind and caring couple. Nice touches including a home-cooked breakfast. Close to all attractions but away from the crowds. Recommend if you're looking for something small and personal. No need to worry about the secondary emails from eviivo. The Expedia reservation is sufficient.

Spotlessly clean throughout, quiet with nice rooms and comfortable beds. Extremely welcoming and friendly hosts. Plenty of choice at breakfast, well presented and very tasty. Excellent value

Our stay with Allan and Julie was wonderful. When booking, Allan and Julie were very accommodating with our late check in and parking options. We stayed at the City Guesthouse for three nights (Thursday night - Sunday morning) in their attic en-suite room during the busy Christmas market period. Our room was lovely, clean and so cosy. The room is stocked up daily with complimentary teas, hot chocolates, water and biscuits. The breakfast was delicious, with many options to choose from, and our stay was made even more pleasant by our kind hosts. Allan and Julie gave us so many suggestions on places to visit in York, and we were so sad to be leaving as we loved chatting to them everyday. The accommodation was also in a perfect location. Within 5/10 minutes walk you have the city centre, and the train station is only a 20 minute walk. The area is very pretty and peaceful. We could not recommend the City Guesthouse enough! It exceeded our expectations and we would love to return in the future. Thank you Allan and Julie for your incredible hospitality.

Comfortable, clean, friendly

Lovely property, we stayed in the attic room 6, nicely out of the way with a great bathroom! The proprietors were a pleasure to talk to and couldn't do enough to help. All round a very enjoyable stay.

Fantastic little guest, very clean & comfy clean room, plenty of choice at breakfast & full English breakfast very good, the owners were very attentive,chatty & friendly, we had a great stay & would stay again.
