City Guest House

Julie and Alan are great traditional hosts of this small hotel. Fine breakfast with choices of full English or continental. They will vary their breakfast time to suit you and they don’t throw you out the door at the earliest opportunity. They’re not pretending to be the Waldorf but if you’re happy to have a no fuss home from home, this is for you. Looking forward to returning.

We Stayed at this Guesthouse and the hosts were Fantastic the location was central and there was loads of information in the room with various recommendations for Where to eat Etc

This guest house had everything you could need on our 4 day trip. The rooms were spotless, food was to a high standard with plenty of selection for breakfast. Julie and Allan couldnt do enough for you and there was on street parking outside the guest house. In the rooms there information leaflets about trips and attractions to visit, just a few minutes walk from York city centre. We will definitely return to the York city guest house.

Fabulous b&b located 5minute walk from the city walls. The hosts Julie and Alan were so welcoming and friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was gorgeous, the room was spotlessly clean. We have booked for next year already. Little gem of a place would highly recommend.

Allan and Julie are delightful hosts. Breakfast was excellent, great variety of cereals, fruit etc and more of anything was always available. Definitely need to revisit if in York again.

It was a great stay at City Guest House. It has great charm and character which is great for a B&B. Allan and Julie were amazing and very accommodating and made sure everything was perfect. I would definitely stay here again.

I would highly recommend this Guest House. Lovely hosts, very clean and spacious rooms, comfy bed and great breakfast. Good location with a few mins walk to the city center. A great place to stay when in York!

Superb - They did my home city proud. Friendly people, very comfortable, and the breakfast was spot on.
