The Farmhouse at Redcoats

The vegan menu in the restaurant could be better and our choice wasn’t available- so ended up with a starter and chips. I think the food wasn’t quite up to fine dining for the price in the evening. However the breakfast was good.

Some of the staff were chatting together rather than noticing there were no bowls and fruit salad was empty and no dairy alternative milk put out- had to be requested. Also no dairy free yogurt.

We had an exceptional experience hosting our wedding at this venue. From the initial planning stages through to the day itself, everything was managed with professionalism, care, and meticulous attention to detail. The event ran seamlessly, allowing us to fully enjoy the occasion with complete peace of mind. The venue was presented beautifully, and many of our guests commented on how impressive it looked, as well as on the high quality of the food. We are especially grateful to Charlie and the events team, whose calm, organised approach and willingness to assist with every detail made the entire process feel effortless. We would not change a single thing. The day exceeded our expectations in every way, and we are incredibly thankful to the team for helping us create such special and lasting memories. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone planning their wedding.

Wonderful birthday lunch for my wife. Just the two of us and our 10 month old. The staff were very friendly, the setting was beautiful and because we were very early it was not too busy. Other families with baby’s there at that time which was a relief, The lunch menu was very nice, no specials but a menu that appears to change with the seasons. We had oysters to start, followed by the beetroot and the paneer starters, both very tasty! My wife had the venison pie and I had the mutton cassoulet; it was all very tasty. A side of Brussels was needed for my dish. We also had desert, because the other food was so nice; basque cheesecake and the trifle, again, both were lovely. Look forward to coming back to try the dinner menu. All positive. Thanks

The Barns at Redcoats was simply the best wedding venue. We knew it was the venue for us from the first visit to one of the open days. And it more than lived up to our expectations. Charlie and her team went above and beyond to ensure our special day went without a hitch. Before the wedding, Charlie responded quickly to any emails, and invited us in for coffee whenever we had any questions and concerns ahead of our special day. She also arranged for a second wedding breakfast tasting after a couple of mishaps at the first tasting. We couldn’t have wished for a better wedding coordinator 😊 On the day, the venue was absolutely beautiful, our suppliers were all dealt with by the team so we didn’t need to worry about a thing, and the canapés and wedding breakfast were fantastic. And our guests had the best time. It was also great that all our day guests could also stay at the venue overnight for a reasonable price. If you want a barns wedding venue, look nowhere else!
