The bed was comfy.

Shower didn’t maintain a set temperature. Room was very cold, air con was noisy, the room in general wasn’t what you’d expect for the cost. Extremely noisy - people driving away from the restaurant, bin lorry, early morning deliveries.

Lovely location and so comfortable and well decorated inside. Comfy chairs to sit and have a drink.

Wooden floorboards make rooms very noisy and upstairs neighbour was walking a round throughout the night. Breakfast very late for those who have early starts

The Farmhouse at Redcoats was the most incredible venue — we honestly couldn’t have imagined getting married anywhere else. From our very first visit right through to the wedding day itself, everything was seamless and so thoughtfully handled. Charlie Brimelow and the entire Redcoats team were absolutely fantastic. Their communication, organisation, and genuine care made the whole experience stress-free and enjoyable, which, as first-time wedding planners, was priceless! Charlie guided us through every step, from the initial venue tour to the final meetings in the weeks leading up to the big day, and we always felt completely supported. The barn itself is stunning — full of charm, character, and warmth. We barely needed to add any extra decorations because it’s already so beautiful on its own. On the day, everything ran perfectly. The staff were amazing — from the servers to the bar team — and all of our guests commented on how wonderful and attentive everyone was. And the food… wow. It was honestly one of the highlights of the day! We had a Chicken Caesar Croquette to start, Pork Belly for the main, and a Chocolate Brownie for dessert — every course was cooked perfectly and tasted incredible. We also loved the menu tasting evening around six months before the wedding. It was such a lovely experience — trying the food and canapés, meeting other couples, and chatting with suppliers. Seeing the venue set up for a wedding gave us such a clear picture of what to expect, and it built so much excitement for our own day. My wife also stayed at the venue the night before the wedding in the get-ready room with her mum, and she absolutely loved it. It made the morning so calm and relaxed — no rushing around or travel stress. They had room service from the restaurant the night before, which was top-tier, and on the morning of the wedding, there was plenty of space for the whole bridal party, along with the hair and makeup artists. There’s even a little balcony attached, which would have been perfect for some fresh air (if it hadn’t been raining for us!). We and a few guests stayed overnight at The Farmhouse, which made the experience even more special. The honeymoon suite was stunning — spacious, peaceful, and perfect for a few quiet moments together. Our guests also loved their rooms, and the breakfast the next morning was delicious — a lovely way to end such a perfect weekend. We can’t thank Charlie and the team enough for their support, attention to detail, and kindness throughout the whole process. The day was everything we dreamed of and more. The Farmhouse at Redcoats will always hold such a special place in our hearts. 💛
