The Douglas Hotel

Staff wonderful throughout. Food lovely .Only disappointment was lack of any outlook in room108. Not what I feel rates a de luxe category or price. Again can I emphasize how good attentive and helpful all of the staff were. This hotel's greatest asset.

Chic and welcoming, with a variety of private and social spaces for guests to enjoy. Easy walk to ferry, waterfront park, shops, entertainment, bike hire, walking trails, bus stop etc.

Very comfortable bedrooms , well equipped and spotlessly clean. Lovely breakfast with good choice of fresh produce. Hotel bar offers good selection of freshly cooked meals. Friendly staff. Lovely views over Brodick bay. Will definitely return.

We have only good things to say about the Douglas. Perfect setting, large clean room, superb staff, excellent food and service. Breakfasts were to die for

Very good boutique hotel. Perhaps a little on the expensive side but it is well-appointed. Staff very accommodating and pleasant. Our room (110) was a little on the dark side but otherwise clean and functional. A couple of hiccoughs with service in the Bistro where food ordered did not arrive but otherwise very happy with the quality of meals.

Fire alarm accidentally activated during our stay but staff unable to de-activate for 30 minutes- no apology or offer of any compensation for a disturbed night. Bar food very poor and not good value. Bistro food satisfactory but no atmosphere in the bistro. Bathroom half cleaned one day - cloth and new bin bag left on floor and bin not emptied

Very pleasant stay. Unfortunately we’d been given the garden room which after two days of rain was of no use to us. A sea view would have been much more appreciated. But other than that a wonderful hotel with high standards.

Lovely hotel close to sea and to local facilities. Extremely friendly and helpful staff.

We had the most perfect stay in this beautiful hotel! We stayed for three nights in the balcony suite where we enjoyed the best views on the island! Fancy being able to see Goatfell from the bath!! The weather helped make this the perfect holiday. The attention to detail in every area of The Douglas Hotel is very impressive. Our duck has pride of place in our bath room now!

This is a beautiful hotel on the waterfront with a patio bar and a restaurant. It has the feel of a luxurious manor house. Easy to walk from the ferry port to this hotel. Wish I could have stayed longer!
