SureStay Plus by Best Western Montrose

No wi fi in room , room was first floor 3 doors from lobby where the wi fi worked. Toilet seat slid around, laundry not in service first night. Hot tub was cold

The speed of check in, cleanliness of room, space in the room, and overall attention to detail in terms of I felt at home, I have a rule that if a hotel is or feels dirty or unkept, I don't take off my sandals. I was able to take off my sandals within this room within the first 20 seconds. Amazing place to go to the National Park nearby.

Door to the parking lot, from our room, was on the side, and you couldn't come back in that way unless you put a rock on the door to hold it. Otherwise, you had to enter the lobby to go all the way around. They should install room card reader at that back entrance for convenience of guests.

I didn’t like that I was assigned a room and when I get there it was not ready, housekeeping was cleaning. They had to assigned me another one. I like the lay out of the room, the cleanness and that has refrigerator and microwave.

The room itself was good with comfy bed, frig and microwave, but had a very tiny bathroom counter, noisy at 4am(sounded like a jackhammer), room next to a utility area. The breakfast choices were typical and not appealing to me. Made reservation for 3 nights then the last night they left signs in my room and on the door that I was supposed to have left. They blamed the mixup on Expedia. Never happened to me before. I was evacuated from my home due to the wildfire and already stressed out. Had to pay a high rate too which was disappointing.

The problems started with check-in. Charging $20 if you arrive before the 4:00 check in time is just crazy. No one was there to check-in in, we'd driven 7 hours and were tired, this just seems wrong. You have the worst pillows that we've slept on in I don't know how long. The hotel is old and could really use a face lift. Not what we expect from Best Western.

Great location for visiting the Black Canyon, clean, good fridge, tasty breakfast options, and nearby breweries - would stay here again if I visit this place again.
