Paradisus Playa del Carmen – Riviera Maya - All Inclusive

Paradisus was great for our family of 4, we booked the family concierge room with swim up pool, well worth the extra price for a more private swim when the main pools gets crowded. Our room was assigned a concierge, Jorge, who did a great job of making our stay smooth and stress free. He took care of dinner reservations, booking excursions, being available for any of our needs, even decorating our room and sending a cake for my daughter’s birthday, true hospitality. The rooms were spacious, our mini bar was fully restocked each day and housekeeping refreshed our towels and beds every time we returned, along with nice little gifts left on the bed for our girls. Food wise, I recommend the Lunchbox for breakfast and Bana the Teppanyaki restaurant was a blast for the kids - make sure to book ahead. We took advantage of one excursion to visit Cenote which was a fun adventure just 30 minutes drive. Cave swimming and Zip lining is not something we would’ve chosen to do on our own, but kept an open mind and glad we had the chance, don’t miss it. We enjoyed this experience so much that we plan on making this our annual holiday vacation. Can’t wait to visit again, use Costco Travel, a great value.

We stayed at Paradisus Playa del Carmen Riviera Maya for a wedding as a family of four and had a great overall experience. We booked a Family Concierge suite, which worked very well for us. The room was spacious and clean, with a separate bedroom with a king bed and a living area that included a sofa bed, table, microwave, sink, and minibar. There was plenty of space, and the layout made it comfortable for a family. Housekeeping was excellent and very helpful throughout our stay. One highlight was the Family Concierge service. Eduardo Monroy was our concierge and made the experience much easier. He sent a daily list of activities each morning, helped with restaurant reservations, and quickly handled anything we needed, including extra water and a safe issue. Having one point of contact allowed us to relax and actually enjoy the vacation without worrying about logistics. The food overall was good. The buffet options were the same daily on both adult and kids sections. The service and cleanliness across the resort were excellent. The staff throughout the property were friendly and welcoming. Overall, we had a very positive stay and would recommend this hotel, especially for families and anyone attending an event or wedding on property.

We have been coming to the Lunch Box since we started our trip and it has been amazing! Very exclusive and not busy, which is nice when traveling with a new baby. Rachel has been amazing since the beginning! Thank you so much!

Overall amazing stay at the resort. We recently visited for my wife’s 40th bday. We had the family concierge package. Check-in is a little rough. It took us an hour from the time we got to the resort to the time we got checked in. We arrived on a Thursday afternoon. Our butler did his best to expedite the process. There were snacks, drinks etc available while you wait. After check-in everything else was outstanding. Our butler, Adrian, was very communicative each day (through WhatsApp). The room was very nice. The temperature stayed cool which is a huge plus, stocked mini fridge with both alcohol and non-alcoholic choices along with snacks that were replenished daily. The lunchbox was a great place to eat breakfast and lunch each day. Dinner options were great but note you need to make reservations PRIOR to your stay, otherwise you may not get to eat at each of the (we learned that the hard way…didn’t realize we needed to pre-book (luckily Adrian was able to find some time slots for us). We had a swim up room very close to the kids area pool (pirate ship) which was a great location to the Palapas that are available to grab, the pool bar, etc. We brought our two boys (10 & 13) and they loved it. One played basketball the entire time and the other enjoyed the game room where they had Ps5, Xbox, pool and foosball. The gelato and coffee shop were a great daily stop as well. Many flavors and both were open late for the family concierge. Overall “cons” or things that we thought could be improved: - check in process needs to be faster. - all the pools close at 7pm, which is fine, except we had a swim up and that was also closed at 7pm. For those rooms, the pools should be able to stay open longer - need better pre-stay info around the need to reserve dinner

Great place to travel w family and kids! The kids had a blast and the hotel made everything very easy. Family concierge helped too! Eduardo was very responsive and helpful.

Our experience was nothing short of spectacular and that was all due in part by our exceptional concierge services provided by Me. Jorge Hernandez! Jorge went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and more so our experience was a memorable one! This was our first time vacationing in Mexico with our young children and for those that have children, you know what that can be like! Jorge made sure everything was up to standard went out of his way to ensure the children were happy and busy! I can’t say enough about Jorge, if you plan to attend this resort, please request Jorge, you won’t regret it!

No Lazy pool and not many water activities like a wave pool. No Asian food is available, and I feel the resort could learn from the Barcelo Maya and Moon Palace resorts on how to serve its customers better. There is only one pool for the entire resort and it is pretty small compared to the size of the resort.Same food every single day in NAOs cafe and absolutely no change.This resort has many adult-only areas and is not a family-friendly one. The Melia app sucks, and the coconut water or premium beverages are available to circle members, which comes with an extra cost. While the resort is aiming to cater to adults(without kids) and families at the same time, I feel it is definitely not family friendly.
