Kildrummy Inn

Kildrummy Inn is a real find - very friendly welcoming owners, small but very clean & comfortable room, perfect location for visiting castles and gardens in Aberdeenshire and excellent food both breakfast and dinner. Definitely worthy of it's awards.

This is a small roadside inn with a great chef and the "newest" feeling room we had during our 32 days in Scotland and also the smallest. Great bed and linens! It is located on a narrow country road not close to anything at all except sheep, which is very relaxing if you don't try walking on that road! It is a perfect stop on the way to or from Balmoral and castles in the area, but inconvenient as a base to come back to for a second night. Plan to eat dinner there and make that reservation with the room as the restaurant was surprisingly crowded with locals. Breakfast was wonderful with homemade everything including the jam!

The lounge area is inviting, the choice of malts amazing. Unable to eat at the hotel on Tuesday, but fully intend to return with friends at a later date. Chef relaxed and happy to chat, overall a welcoming atmosphere, however it was all too short. I suspect that within a few years this may become a hotel/restaurant to visit...on the up!

I booked this hotel as a one night stop and based on other reviews, whislt travelling across Scotland for work. Its friendly, clean and very modern rooms at a competitive rate. The breakfast, was superb and one of the best, ive had in years. Be mindfull on a Tuesday the bar and resturant shuts, if you need to stay a Tuesday! ;)
