Waiorau Homestead

This is a spectacular B&B. The owner, Blythe, is wonderful (his partner Anne was away). He is knowledgeable, welcoming, and professional. The food was fantastic. The rooms are beautiful, all with high ceilings. Beautiful grounds located in an unassuming hideaway. Perfect place.

It’s not that we didn’t like this about it, but it’s important to know that it’s really in Cardrona, not in the town of Wanaka which is an easy 20 minute drive away.

Lovely home, Ann and Blyth are very welcoming and make you feel right at home. I hope to be back!

This was our favourite place we stayed at on our trip. The house is absolutely exquisite, we were welcomed warmly by our hosts, and enjoyed the hot tub and walking around the beautiful garden. We saw many native birds and had such a comfortable stay. Robes were included and we were well catered for at breakfast the next day. We highly recommend this homestead!

This is an elegant, comfortable place in a lovely location. Blyth and Ann were gracious and helpful. Don’t miss the wonderful dinner offered! The second night we ate at the Cardrona Hotel, which was quite good.

Lovely quite surroundings. Great location with a small drive to Wanaka or Queenstown. Friendly host Ann welcomed us when we arrived and the continental breakfast supplies were a pleasant surprise.
