Grand Hotel Donat Superior & Wellness Center

The advertising in Booking was 3 Swimmingpools but in effect there are only 2 of which only 1 open. Food is average, the bar is poor, the place had very few people and so treatments such as massage etc. were not available as "all booked out", I am asking myself to whom if there is barely anyone here? The hotel next door Rogaska is better, busy and cheaper.

The hotel has several types of rooms, and we were accommodated in a larger standard room. The room is spacious, but it had a very unpleasant smell. The furniture is outdated. The bed is very uncomfortable, too hard and squeaky, the pillows are too hard, and the sheets and towels are old and gray. The restaurant is also outdated and there was no staff to serve us at the bar. Before arriving, we ordered a massage at a certain time, only to be told upon arrival that it had been postponed by 1.5 hours. The pool is very poor, only a few sunbeds which were dirty as well as the pillows. Very disappointing for the hotel 4/5* and the price we paid.

The hotel was very modern in the 1970's. The rooms are small but nice and renovated. The park view is great. The worst problem is food and restaurant service. I expect that fresh bread for breakfast is a minimum standard. Unfortunately bread in this hotel was not fresh. Also other food quality was low and preparation poor. The worst was dinner. The wine list was great and wines were superb but we got 10 years old red wine with temperature above 25C and were server in glasses for white wine. We COULD NOT GET TAP WATER beside the bottle of wine. There were very few choices of food, but all food was tasteless and not fresh. If you want to order additional drinks or sign the bill you have to walk through the restaurant to find your waiter and ask him to come to your table. The pools and saunas are nice but they economize and just a few saunas operate so they were so crowded that we decided to pass them. The price for weekend stay was moderate for a 4/5 star hotel but it was extremely overpriced for 2 star quality that is offered.

Very nice and comfortable hotel. Staff is very cordial and helpful. Food is nice. A very nice buffet breakfast. Very nice view from my room balcony. A great place to Stay at Rogaska Slatina. And it's a very beautiful city. Very clean. Great climate.

With my wife we have stayed in this hotel for two nights. At the end we have agreed it was a good choice, but there is a room for improvement. Personnel was very helpful and professional, with an additional plus for the personnel at the reception desk. Room spacious and clean. We have a great experience with the Thai massage for a reasonable price. The pool is not the strongest part of the hotel. By saying this I would just to mention, that some more water attractions (jacuzzi style) would be welcomed. Food for breakfast and dinners within expectations. But having in mind how good this hotel really is I couldn't understand that the octopus salad on Saturday disappeared in half an hour. The only point where I have to express my disappointments was sauna. In "Russian" sauna there was no water in the "cold" polls (including part with the "foot pots" outside sauna. It was not possible to stir the water above the warm stones, while the pot, which was inside was empty. Plus no running water outside. Its was really a pity while the "Russian" sauna has been the best in my opinion. On top of this there was in reality no tee (while the tee facility has been empty) and no water (there were only few pots). So different to the general impression of the hotel.

We came to the hotel for a three-day pampering. The rooms are clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. Maybe the bathroom has some flaws. There are many services available for pampering, but unfortunately not all of them are available (which you only find out when you want to use them). For example, not all saunas work, there is no masseur for certain massages, etc. Also dishes and services in the restaurant are not suitable for 4 stars and for the price .

I was staying at hotel Donat in Rogashka for one week and had the worst experience so far. Compared to two years, the overall all quality has dropped (very, very uncomfortable pillows and bed; poor quality of food; demotivated, gossiping personnel and receptionists with an attitude...) On top of everything, they completely disregarded my request for privacy and confirmed to someone over the phone that I was staying there. When I filed a claim because of this violation of privacy, nobody even took the time to respond formally and nobody showed any kind of gesture that they even care ! No apology, no kind words, no discount...nothing. I paid full price for a quality of service I did not get and had the unpleasant experience to debate with the staff on “what’s the big deal about it” . They most definitely NOT treat all guests equally. Do not want to jump to conclusions but if this was some rich guy with his mistresses, I am sure that they would have protected his privacy. For me they didn’t care, I was some girl who is there alone—doesn’t matter that this was my special request and was emphasised several times in the email correspondence before my arrival. Very, very poor! I would never stay there again and do not recommend it to anyone.
