Grand Hotel Donat Superior & Wellness Center

Was visiting place for Donat spring water. The only advantage this hotel has is direct access to buvet. Otherwise - rooms are clean but outdated, very limited facilities. It seems to be a legacy from socializm time. Would not stay there again

We spent a night here during the spring time. We got a very nice room with a view out to the front. We loved the balcony, great for sipping local wines and watching the people. The food was pretty good if you eat inside the restaurant or the one in front of the hotel.

Hotel Donat is hotel for a recommendation at Rogaskoj. All hotel services helpful, very friendly receptions stuff, excellent restaurant, good and fresh food. Rooms are clean. Internet covered all hotel area and quite fast. A large wellness and spa centre, clean and big saunas. Vukovic

I'm quite happy with this hotel. I just don't understand why we have to pay for wifi when already pay for a 120€ for a room.....

My family and I were passing through Slovenia and only had to stay for one night. The Grand Hotel Donat is grand alright, but prices were quite ridiculous considering we only spent one night there. Staff was friendly, breakfast was quite great and the rooms were nice and well furnished. It wasn't a bad hotel by any means, but I would recommend exploring other options unless you're booking well in advanced and can get a good deal on a room.

The room was quite big, furnished in a nice way. Stayed there with parents for one week. The breakfast is great! Friendly staff. Would definitely consider staying here again. We hope to visit Slovenia again in the future and if we do the Donat hotel is where we will stay.

Firstly, booking hotel stay online was awful due to hotel website not being developed properly. The conditions weren't clear and require extra attention. This is the only hotel which required full!!! prepayment just to secure the room. After having payed the full price, received an unclear e-mail with the reservation, which doesn't state what has been booked. Upon arrival to the hotel the parking staff refused opening the private car park. So had to park on the street around the hotel which caused great inconvenience as Rogaska is a small town with tiny roads. At the reception I have been told that in order to stay in the hotel an extra 60%! per night has to be payed as well as extra charges have to be payed for full pansion. Having selected and payed for full pansion online it was unclear what the charges are for. The staff have even doubted that the stay was payed for, because they didn't know themselves. After asking for the manager an old Russian woman came up and very rudely said "You are not in Ukraine, you are in Slovenia, so pay". After continious arguing she also said "Go to the bar and buy yourself a cup of coffee then you can calm down, come back and pay". Upon such rudeness at the reception, left the hotel and stayed elsewhere. Now, two days have passed upon contacting the hotel and still no reply. I am afraid to even think what accommodation was like, but everything was just like Soviet Union in the 80's. I haven't received such awful rudeness in any other hotel in the world.

This hotel is in appearance and numbers correspond to the stated categories. Although a bit depressing design 2nd floor (dirty blue-gray walls in the rooms), much higher than encouraging. Staff smiling and friendly to the first of your claim, then you run into a wall of smiles and inactivity, unless you do not know how to "leverage to press" in such situations. Cleaning is, if watched, that something is wrong, and you will live, if you just make comments at the reception you can make a difference. Change of linen, linen itself is great, the problem is that in my room and put the bubbles on a regular basis, but the wash room is as lucky. But in general if there are no problems with allergies (and I dare say people go there to be treated as not celebrate holidays), then fine. About the reception is a computer with an Internet connection ... some sort of mad money, while at the same hall perfectly captures WiFi, just need my laptop. Food is quite good compared to other hotels Rogaška. Good dinners, lunches, did not take. Staff very friendly and the restaurant if there are problems with food (which is the need to individually), in principle, everything can be solved. Restaurant Management at a higher level than the above reception. In the evening quite calm, live music, bar, cards, etc. In general all of the hotel would recommend it.
