It was extremely well located for everything, the Cathedral, shops, restaurants were all within easy walking distance. The property was also close to Canterbury East station - well within walking distance. It was clean and tidy with basics being provided - tea/coffee: hairdryer etc and it was exceptionally quiet, so had two really good nights sleep.

It was down a poorly lit back street with few people about so as a single traveller I was a bit nervous. The key to the front door didn’t work so access to the property was by means of a code given to me by the owner who was aware of the problem from the start. It was difficult with the poor lighting to see to put the code in. The property was very basic and not particularly attractive from the outside due to scaffolding but it served its purpose as I only slept and showered there.

Comfy beds with warm duvets. Ground floor. Carpeted floor. Electric heater supplied on request. Free instant coffee, tea and biscuits with electric kettle. Small fridge in room. Daily cleaner if needed.

Radiators not very hot. External scaffold workers made noise VERY early in morning!

Location is great right in the middle of the city. Getting key was easy. It was quite at nice and even the room which was described as small was large!

It’s s as little difficult to find down the windy narrow lanes. There is no onsite parking

All clean and comfortable, and staff were very helpful and friendly.

Nothing negative stood out, all round good hotel if you need to stay in Canterbury.

The proximity to the Cathedral and the streets of restaurants.

The building was covered in scaffolding, there was no staff on site, public parking is several hundred yards away, there were dirty towels on the bathroom floor and used toiletries in the shower.

Location of the property is close to the city centre. So in terms of location, it was fine. The staff who attended to was polite and responsive. The room was neat and clean.

No lift, so lugging heavy luggage is bound to hurt your back. I had requested for twin beds since i was travelling with my daughter and it was confirmed by the property but when I checked in, to my surprise there was just a double bed. It was very awkward for us. Old fashioned key to access main door and your room as well which has to be inserted upside down, so to figure out locking and unlocking took some time. Wifi speeds were poor. Work is ongoing and there is scaffolding all around and there was no visible signage to the property. So identifying the property involved hand gestures with the person answering the phone. All in all I don't think it was value for the money I spent on staying here

The bed was clean

I had no running water - I told the person at end of phone on the evening of 26 Sep. There was still no hot water the next day so my entire stay I had no running hot water in my bathroom basin. The shower was electric and worked. The carpet/rug was so dirty I did not walk on it with bare feet. This room was £95 per night so not cheap.

Das Haus liegt sehr zentral in der Altstadt und man ist in wenigen Minuten bei den Sehenswürdigkeiten. Lebensmittelgeschäfte gibt es in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft, genauso Restaurants und alles was man so braucht. Badezimmer und Schlafzimmer waren sehr funktionell und in gutem Zustand.

Es gibt keinerlei Rezeption, es ist also nicht wirklich ein Hotel und den Code für die Schlüsselbox bekam ich erst, nachdem ich angerufen habe. Das ist so nicht in Ordnung. Das sollte im voraus versandt werden. Das Zimmer war im zweiten Stock ohne Aufzug. Booking.com hatte den Checkout mit 10:30 Uhr angegeben, im Zimmer stand dann 10 Uhr.
