GBIt was an economical accommodation with a warm welcome. The location was family-friendly, safe, and had a lovely, iconic atmosphere. Ms. Diana gave us a very warm welcome and helped us a lot in preparing our dinner. Free on-site road parking was also available, and the staff were very polite.
GBStaff are nice people, very friendly and are good at what they do with the exception of one department.... The food is top notch and reasonably priced. The breakfasts are amazing, locally sourced and cooked to perfection.
Though booking dot com said we could book in at 12 the staff member said 2pm, fair enough, not a problem so we went for a walk. Came back 2-30, room still not ready, told to come back at 3, still not ready this continued in half hour increments right up to 5-30. There was still no linen on the bed which apparently was the reason we could not gain access to our room. It wasn't t the fault of front of house staff, they were being told by housekeeping that the room would be ready in a half hour all afternoon. The manager was very apologetic and knocked off 20% from our 2 day stay bill. No real harm done and we've never had any problems before when we stayed there so we will go again.

Very noisy with people shouting and banging doors late in the night and very early morning. The place and the rooms are looking a little tired and could do with updating.

The only problem we had was the hotel didn’t serve food on an evening which was an issue for us as we were out all day and was really inconvenient for us. This wasn’t made clear at the time of booking.

A few minor issues that could easily be resolved. We had no cold water in the room. I mentioned this to a member of staff but nothing was done about it. I had to ask for soap. Our room wasn’t cleaned and we were there for 3 nights. Some parts of the room were dusty. The food wasn’t great.

Couldn’t enter hotel until 15:30, arrived at 12:00 and doors locked with people waiting to check in outside, seemed short staffed and unorganised compared to last time I stayed, not sure if I’d stay again for price and service . Bed was uncomfortable and noisey hallway.
