We stayed on a Friday night - the Karaoke downstairs in the bar went on until 1:30 am - not great if you've got an early start.

GBStaff were very friendly and pleasant, helped us get in and out at weird hours. Room was nice and quiet, plenty of well positioned plug sockets and bathroom areas. The location was great and parking was achievable despite the number of cars in Rothbury there was always somewhere to place my little car for free.. Breakfast food was nice enough and again, the staff were lovely and didn't leave you waiting long to be served. Would recommend if you were solo traveling too, felt safe.
Shower was broken at the time of visit and there was no warning that it was faulty prior to arriving. They were planning on fixing it asap but sadly wasn't fixed during our 2 night stay. Not sure why there was a weird wet mark on the floor in the bedroom that smelt of energy drink but thankfully everything else was good
