Badala Park Hotel

Estupendas instalaciones y personal, aunque mi habitación era interior y desmerecía respecto al aspecto general del Hotel

Too much smoking in open areas despite a smoke free law in The Gambia. Very weak and slow internet. Plenty of small crawlies in ground level room. You pay for everything - AC, TV even room safe!

lo único que vale la pena del hotel es el sedrvicio... hotel en estado de semiabandono, mantenimiento cero, puertas que no cierran..

Hotel was very poor staff was very nice would not stay there again.

We arrived at the hotel a day earlier and had to pay for the night that was not part of our earlier booking via Expedia. That night was terrible. Air-conditioning attracted extra payment, no fridge in the room and to provide it, one needed to pay extra. Even TV was not provided and to get one will attract another charges. The toilet was blocked and to get us to use took it multiple visits by the plumber. The room was infested with mosquitoes and when we asked the receptionist to arrange to spray the room with insecticide, we were told it was not part of the deal. That if we wanted to spray the room, we should go to the shops to buy the insecticide and spray the rooms ourselves. We managed to stay a night there on the 22nd of Dec and the next day when our booking was to take effect we had to abandon the hotel for another hotel along the same avenue. We contacted Expedia and complained and David of Expedia took our call but could not reach the hotel because their phones were not going through. David told us that he would try again and again to get hold of the hotel manager and after he would contact us for follow-up but never did. I wanted to cancel the booking on the 23rd Dec but was advised by David not to do so online for we would lose 100% of money due to late cancellation for he would intervene to help switch us to another hotel but that did not happen. We paid for another hotel for 13 days and still there is no hope of getting our earlier payment for Badala park back.

This place is fairly cheap so I was expecting the world but although overall I've said it was ok so many things let it down. Examples are: * No wifi the whole time we were there. Every day I was told that someone was working on it and it would be fixed by tomorrow; it never was. * On 4 out of the 7 days I was there I came back to my room late afternoon and ready for a shower only to find that they had taken my towel and not replaced it. I then had to tour the hotel to find the room boy to get a clean one. * One day we were on a trip so needed to breakfast early. They advertise breakfast from 7am - 10am but when we got there at 7 it was deserted. It was 7.30 before they had set up, too late as we needed to go. * Breakfast is a very limited affair with bread, cheese, ham, tomatoes and cucumber and omlettes. One day I was there just after 9 and the man in front took the last cheese and ham. I asked for some and the girl behind the counter said it was finished; when I asked her to get some more she said, 'when it's gone it's gone.'

Rommet var av det enkle slaget og det var tydelig gjort noen akuttløsninger i forhold til "oppussing", og det var OK - alt fungerte greit, bortsett fra safe og at dørlås måtte skiftes. Men oppholdet i rommet ble preget av malingslukt, som ikke var særlig behagelig! Sengene var forøvrig dårlige, med fjærer som ga seg til kjenne, dog uten å ødelegge nattesøvnen!

The area (Kotu) is hostile towards tourists. Tourists were hassled constantly, even inside the hotel by some staff members. The breakfast didn't last for every guest. The cleaning staff kept knocking the door until I opened. That happened multiple times. The staff tried to overprice taxis.

ganz einfaches hotel mit erheblichen mängeln in allen bereichen. einzig die lage des hotels ist positiv zu bewerten.

"Aufregend". Das Personal war immer freundlich und bemüht - der Service o.k. Leider war am großen Swimming-Pool jeden Abend Party. Nicht etwa von Gästen sondern vom Personal!!! Das machte die Nächte sehr kurz und anstrengend. Ansonsten für den Preis alles weitgehend in Ordnung.
