Badala Park Hotel

It's not the most pleasant place you'll stay in, the room wasn't very clean, breakfast isn't great, but at this price you can't complain.I was just here for my first night, then moved on straight after breakfast, so it was fine for me.

J'ai été surpris de constater que les chambres n'ont pas de télé. il n'y a de climatiseur non plus contrairement a ce que j'ai lu sur le site hotel.com. Mais la cour, la piscine et l'animation sont très bonnes et j'ai beaucoup apprécie. Le petit resto Petit dej est aussi super et le petit dej est bien fourni.

Thehotel was adequate. The staff very friendly but not well organised. Breakfast should start at 7 a.m. but never ready on time. The power was more often than not off during the day despite the hotel having 2 generators which seem to be broken.. A disadvantage is one cannot pay by credit/debit card.

We reserved 2 rooms for 3 people but the next dauy the manager said we had only pre-paid for two people. We had to show him the expediate papers. They have no internet. The Hotel is laid out in blocks A-J The mosquito netting is badly maintained and the door locks stiff or hard to turn It is heavily staffed - Staff are very friendly - frequent 5 dalasi (20p) tips seem to be expected - and you should budget £2 / day for this (cleaners gardeners, Security etc.) They are very poor people and these tips are more than their meagre wages Rooms don't have TV but there is one in reception with BBC news channel The paper seller outside the breakfast room sells used UK papers for 100 dalasi = £2 Nothing was stolen, no tummy problems and wearing long cotton clothes after sundown with Deet spray sorted the mosquito problem. The days are hot 35 and the nights cool 15-20 The Bumsters at the gate sell (apart from Taxi trips + wood carvings) marijuana, native girls and also themselves. there is a bicycle rack outside the front gate (50 D / hour) AVOID the expensive green taxis - use the cheaper yellow ones

Muy basico, pero entorno y trato agradable, es nuestra segunda vez en el Badala y pensamos seguir alojandonos en el cuando visitemos Gambia
