This time there was someone waiting for me for airport pick up despite a delayed flight by 2 hours, that was good and swift as I get to the hotel quickly. I lured two of my mates and they also indicated the hotel was good. The meal that I ordered was small but this can be improved. I like the ejela at breakfast as it was not sour and the taste was good. The rates were also good and affordable, I hope this will stay for some time. Was also happy that the hotel was fully booked.

Not a 3.5 star hotel. The hotel charges a hefty fee for a second person in a smaller room; these fees aren't unheard of, but at a place that tries to brand itself as higher quality, it's a bit of a disappointment. Don't expect much from breakfast, and the hotel was just "meh". Service wasn't great. WiFi didn't work. Computers didn't work. I just wouldn't trust anything the hotel advertised, and the service was lackluster. Could have been worse- I had a bed to sleep in, but I probably paid too much. Best part was the "free" airport shuttle, which may be why the room was too expensive.

The hotel was reasonably comfortable and the staff were okay. If you are relying on transport to/from the airport/hotel, be prepared to have to wait. Despite having phoned the hotel prior to our arrival with the flight details, there was no transport waiting for us, so we had to phone the hotel again from the airport. We had already booked to stay in The Soramba Hotel 6 nights later. The Hotel we were staying at in Lalibela, Ethiopia, phoned the hotel the night before we were due to arrive, again with flight details. On arrival at the airport, no transport. 3 phone calls and an hour and a half later, our transport finally arrived. On arrival at the hotel, we received no apology. We will not be staying at The Soramba Hotel again.

Good, clean newish hotel suitable for business travellers. Wired Internet in the rooms, wi-fi in the lobby and restaurant. Excellent selection of food in the restaurant, both Ethiopian and international. The hotel also offeres a complimentary shuttle service from/to the airport.

The hotel is a old building beside one of the main street and it is noisy and not conformable. The stuff there are trained to get as much money as they can from the guests. They do not have a price list of services is just up to them. Be careful!! Room are old and dirty.Bathroom are dirty and the water is not filtered so you may get dirtier after a shower. They don't have shampoo or shower gel. A total discomfort!!!! There is better places for even less money; I am sorry I discover it after a full advance payment. It was a robbery !!

Excellent hotel and location. The staff was polite and very helpful

The limited attention to maintenance of the fabric of the building is just starting to show up. Chunks of plaster from the bathroom door surround fell on the floor occasionally. But the hotel staff were very helpful, patient and attentive. The food in the hotel restaurant is unexceptional, but adequate. Hotel laundry is fast and efficient, my shirts being returned crisply ironed and spotless.

No air onditioner. Breakfast is very poor. Local food that is not appropriate for international travelers.
