Sherwood Motel

Was happy to get reasonably priced lodging within 20 miles of where I wanted to be (Morehead City, which was very expensive because of a Marlin Tournament). Staff and check in was pleasant. Room decent, overall feel of the place was a little run down, but that doesn't bother me as much as it may some.

We rented 2 rooms for 3 nights. First room they put us in had cockroaches crawling all over the dresser. That should have been our cue to leave. The next morning we woke up and there were cockroaches all over our stuff and bed! We ended up packing all our things and leaving. They said I could have a refund for the nights we didn’t stay but said we had to go through hotels.com to get it which ended up a lie and now won’t answer my calls for my refund. So not only did we have to pay for rooms we didn’t stay in, we had to spend money to rent a whole other place.

Room was clean and spacious. No shampoo though

The sheets on our bed were dirty. I can understand it is an older location and could leave a lot to be desired. BUT dirty sheets. Nah, I will never make that mistake again.

Price was excellent, save money by booking directly with Sherwood Motel, they have extended stay special rates. Room was clean, beds comfortable and housekeeping service provided fresh towels, toilet paper, etc..daily. Ice and soda machine right out front. Family Dollar store only a short walk away. Our room had a love seat and coffee table but no table and chairs to sit and eat and the room did not have a coffee pot. Having a coffee pot and chairs instead of loveseat would have suited our needs better. But it was a great experience, we spent 6 nights there and staff were always friendly and happy to meet our needs and answer our questions. I give my recommendation for the Sherwood Motel, it was clean, friendly and a safe peaceful place to rest.

I love this place since they have remodeled most of the rooms. The only issue I have is they do Not leave you sheets for the Hid-A-Bed.
