Blackberry Hills Munnar - Nature Resort & Spa

Beautiful setting eco-conscious room exceeded expectations for attractiveness, comfort and spaciousness. The food at the Hornbill restaurant was excellent and the service from the entire staff very attentive. Swimming in the moderately sized pool with a spectacular view over the tea gardens was delightful.

The road up to the resort is a bit of an adventure, but well worth it once you arrive Note that the property is built into a nearly vertical hillside and while there are carts to take you most of the way, expect stairs, there is no way to avoid them. Not an issue for us but worth noting for those with moblity issues

Excellent location for all the trips. Location is calm, scenic and at one with nature. Rooms are as shown. Hot water, clean. Good value for money. Staff were accommodating and helped find a wonderful guide Arun. We enjoyed two days of tea plantation and mountain sunrise tours. Lovely massages provided as well as morning yoga. Enjoyable breakfast and nice restaurant. Highly recommend.

Beautiful setting. Dinners at the restaurant were good. Nice guided walk along the tea plantation.

Our room had problems. No bedside lamps like shown in online photos. The shower door needed repairs but the staff wasn’t able to fix it. Staff were nice and well meaning but service was slow. Management not great.

it was not unlimited as it says food is free on booking but not mentioned there is a cap for an individual for how much they can eat.

Very unusual, Eco friendly hotel with a multitude of birdsong and stunning sunrise. Excellent breakfast, on site restaurant with a very good kitchen

It’s the most perfect place!! The room was big and beautiful, the staff amazing and helpful, the facilities, the pool and garden area and restaurant were all incredible. The view from the hotel is breathtaking. Take into account the hotel area has no restaurants around it so you’ll need to have most of your meals there.

Blackberry hills is nestled along the hillside some 5 km outside of Munnar, and is a very luxurious and beautiful resort. The views are absolutely fantastic and the staff goes out of their way to make your stay comfortable and organize all sorts of things, from activities to taxis. They also offer their own activities, from short to long hikes, and they also offer an amazing tea tasting, which is led by super experienced and enthusiastic external staff. We learned more during this tea tasting than on any factory visit! Their restaurant is also great, and while the number of South Indian dishes are not that many, everything they have cooked up was super tasty and the restaurant staff are also amazing. Lastly, the rooms and the bathrooms are spacious, the beds comfortable and the resort is very quiet (this was the first time we were able to sleep without earplugs while in India!)
