Villa Murano

In a very touristic place like Santorini, the host of the hotel has been very friendly and human: authenticity is the word I would use for the host Katherine. She has a great attention to clients. Also, she arranged the ride from the port and to the airport at very reasonable prices.

The location was good. At the owners request we stayed at their sister property Grande Murano. Great food options in the restaurant. Short walk into Fira main square.

We were told the pool was bigger if we switched venue, this was not true. The air conditioning was very poor and made it very uncomfortable at night time. Pool loungers were all broken, and only five between all the hotel rooms.

It was walking distance to the main area in Thira.

The front of the villa was untidy including the swimming pool. There were no essential items such as shampoo, conditioner and water, all other places that we stayed in provided these. I was disappointed that we missed one night due to the weather and ferries stopped. On booking .com it says a partial refund for cancellations and we were told there was not going to be any refund and we were also asked to pay extra tax for both nights.

We were not actually AT VIlla Murano - on arrival we were told we would be housed at their sister hotel, Murano Grande. This was puzzling, but the Murano Grande was OK - nice restaurant, close to Fira, though on a busy road.

We had booked a room which said we would have sea view, balcony, and double bed - the room we had did not have a balcony, it had twin beds, and the sea view was great but you had to sit out in the public courtyard area to see it.

They are amazimg and very friendly and helpful. Thank you very much!!!

The room is super clean. Tranquil property to relax. The staff is very lovely, but make sure you text them before you get there with your expected arrival time so they are there... if they are not there, it will take around 30 minutes for them to get there and give you the keys.

Bed could be taller. Fira Bus station is a 15-minute walk away; on a hot day, walking with your luggage can be very exhausting, so take a ride or walk slowly through the shortest path.
