Shower small but we knew the new owner had plans to refurbish the bedrooms and bathrooms

It is such a lovely place to stay and only a 10 minute walk to the city centre The breakfast, was served in an a beautiful dinning room, and was excellent and the MAN in charge of cooking it, certainly knows how to make the best poached eggs ever, as good as I make them. The room as comfortable, with everything I needed; it was quiet in the rooms, even though the hotel was set back form the main road. Parking was excellent. This was my second visit here and I thoroughly recommend you staying there.

3 pm book in , is probably about an hour later than is ideal . But this seems to be the way Hotels are going .

Schönes Haus, wenige Minuten zu Fuss vom Bahnhof und ca. 10 Minuten vom Stadtzentrum. Das Haus liegt an einer recht stark befahrenen Strasse, wir hörten sie aber nachts nicht. Das Frühstück (inbegriffen) ist gut und wird in einem schönen Raum serviert. Der Besitzer wechselte wenige Wochen vor unserer Ankunft, weshalb die Kommunikation nicht ideal lief. Wir hatten Fragen, die weder via Booking noch via E-Mail-Adresse auf der Website beantwortet wurden und mussten deshalb kurz anrufen. Das sind vermutlich Startschwierigkeiten, die demnächst behoben werden.

Uns hat das nicht gestört, deshalb nur als Hinweis für Personen, die keine Treppen mögen. Wie in vielen alten Häusern in England sind die Treppen schmal und steil.

Close to the area we needed to visit . free parking ease of access , easy to find. good breakfast, help full staff.

Problem with hot water system to the room . Not a problem as there was an adequate shower. minor problem when washing hands .Towels needed to be a little softer.
