Excellent stay only one night food and bar was good

Give this place a chance! Yes the property is undergoing much needed and significant restoration, but the staff are amazing, the food is good, the rooms are clean, the beds are clean and comfortable, and the showers are nice hot. Its tatty and rough and ready, but if you look past that and drink in the lovely views across the river it wont disappoint. This place is going to be a go too venue in a couple of years. Its also a great location for access to the Excel exhibition centre only 20 minutes down the road. I'm going back in 2 weeks!!

Good value accomodation. Helpful staff, lovely view of the river. Would have preferred carpet on the floor, not distressed and uneven floorboards. Very comfortable bed. Basic but clean. Would stay here again.

This hotel was fine for 1 night stay, the room was spacious . There wasn’t any hot water in the bathroom. The car park isn’t big enough for everyone who stays at the hotel

The hotel restaurant doesn't open on a Saturday or Sunday. We were not made aware of this until checking in at 1830hrs on the Saturday. Very basic and bar closed at 2030hrs.

There were stains on the bed frame as well as mould in the bathrooms. There was dirt on the floor as well as no headboard on the bed. This felt like sleeping in a homeless shelter not a ‘royal hotel’. The mould severely affected my Crohn’s disease also.
