Ringwood Hall Hotel & Spa

Old place with lots of potential, sadly let down in numerous ways. What was portrayed as a secret garden,was so secret we couldn't find it. Went to find a bar not being used by the wedding party, finally found one in the restaurant only to be told the two members of staff could not serve drinks, had to find somone else to pour a pint. As a spar hotel I would expect the bathroom to be a highlight, disapointed that water only trickled from the taps and the shower was a waste of time. The view from the window of the laundry and dirty towels to be taken away was not a great advert. Breakfast, service was poor, running out of food, had to ask if more bread was going to be made available as it had run out, had to prompt staff to get some tea.

We visited as a group for a celebration. We had afternoon tea with Prosecco and then spa access for the afternoon with a treatment. The food was lovely, well presented and serving staff very nice and obliging. The group all arrived at slightly different times and were all given conflicting instructions sign in at the spa then eat, don’t sign in until you’ve eaten which was all a bit confusing! That said, we had a lovely afternoon and the mini facial treatment was a delight. The lady therapist put me totally at ease. The spa facilities are nice and well presented. However the numbers present could become a little busy due to the overall size of the spa. The changing room was cramped at the end of the session and it is communal changing with no cubicles which can be a bit off putting. Facilities well stocked with shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, hand lotion, bags for wet swimming clothes and was clean throughout. Really nice day and would recommend as long as it’s not a busy peak time.

Had a lovely presented afternoon tea for my friends 50th birthday. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Staff were lovely and checked on us regularly. Would definitely recommend to others. Looking forward to future visits and trying out the spa.

A beautiful get together with friends for afternoon tea, everything was perfect from start to finish. The perfect celebration for my beautiful friend’s birthday. The food was delicious, offering a lovely selection of cakes, finger sandwiches and scones.

I have stayed at the Ringwood multiple times - I even held my 60th birthday party there!! It is very convenient when I visit friends in my home town of Chesterfield. It is dog-friendly and the grounds are great for a last evening stroll with the pooch. I like that the dog-friendly rooms are grouped in a small annex where it is quieter. The staff are always friendly and helpful.

4 of us had an afternoon tea, the food and service was excellent all set in beautiful surroundings.it was a lovely way to celebrate my 50th birthday, the food was excellent quality and the staff made us feel very welcome, there looked like there was some really good offers on the spa which we will be definitely be looking at booking.

I thought Mille the person who took care of us is exceptional in her customer care. She looked after our group for dinner on 6 June. The grounds are beautiful. The price good. But the rooms, menu and management has to be much better to attract customers. A complete transformation is required. The issue is not staff but culture and leaders are responsible for that. You do not need feedback. What you need is to motivate your staff and set some basic KPIs. But you got to care. You may contact me for further details.

I stayed here with my partner recently, the hotel is beautiful with spacious rooms which were really clean. The hotel grounds are stunning, you can really tell they are well maintained. The staff were really friendly, and work to a high standard, going above and beyond to ensure guests really enjoy their stay. We also thought the food was fantastic, we enjoyed the breakfast most as there was lots to pick from, and all cooked beautifully. We would definitely recommend staying here, and hope to be back ourselves very soon :)

Issue with shower in the room would not turn off, staff member nearly injured his hand forcing the tap to off. Still continued to drip for the remainder of the stay. Although the bed was comfortable the pillows left a lot to be desired, even 3 pillows only matched 1 plump pillow. Room was okay could be brighter with a fresh lick of paint. Food in the restaurant was excellent however limited choice on the menu. Breakfast was buffet style and compared to other hotels I have stayed in could have offered a few more options. All staff were excellent throughout.
