Old and tired. Damp stains. Windows in room couldn't be opened. No window in WC. Bath IN THE ROOM - not in the en-suite, which was just WC and basin. No shower. We did not use the bath because we did not want our bedding/ rest of the room to get damp! Very odd decor. Not romantic.

Battle of the boybands but with no bands. All of my friends and many people at the event assumed there would be performances but all there was, was a DJ playing songs, and most of them were Tina Turner or other random songs that didn't come under the 'boy band category' but I cannot blame the DJ as he probably didn't have a playlist as he didn't expect to play songs all night either. We asked the staff numerous times to which none of them had a clue, even the manager didn't know. My friends made the best of it and we had a good laugh. But definitely wouldn't bother with an event again.

Iv emailed once and heard nothing. myself and my husband visited this spa Saturday 20th September for an afternoon serenity package £178. We came in December and did the same package and it was beautiful we had such an amazing time and that is why we returned for my 30th birthday and our first wedding anniversary on saturday 20th September. December when we came the spa was so quiet and very peaceful, hardly anybody there. All facilities were clean changing rooms lovely and fresh. The two course dinner was delicious, fresh and cooked very well. When we returned yesterday the whole experience was totally different. We was seated next to a wall with no view, the fish was rock hard and inedible, the tiny portion of chips was ridiculously small compared to last time I left feeling hungry still disappointed with the food. Then we went to get changed there was no toilet roll in the toilets, dirty towels and robes all over the floors. Rubbish and flip flops scattered everywhere. Then we went into the spa and it was packed, there was nowhere to sit unless you went upstairs which we didn't pay all that money to keep going upstairs but we did 4 times because there was nowhere to sit. The 4 loungers by the pool has towels on the whole day and wasn't being used which was frustrating. We only went in the pool once because it was full and nowhere to sit in the pool, the facilities were always in use and there was far too many people for that place that just isn't big enough. We payed £178 for less than 4 hours spa use we left early because we was just so annoyed with barely using any facilities. We waited to speak to somebody and there was nobody there so we left and that is why we have emailed. I'm not sure if we would return to be honest it has really ruined our experience. It was my 30th birthday and our first wedding anniversary and it was a wasted day we could of gone somewhere else for the money we payed.

Stayed one night on a business trip. Found the ‘Executive’ room bathroom not cleaned thoroughly. Spa was expensive with ome parts not working. Booked dinner for 7.30pm, kept waiting for 20 minutes for a table even though plenty of free tables, shambolic running of restaurant with average food. Breakfast better but pricey. Wouldn’t bother staying here again.

The Coach House We started with dinner prior to our spa experience, three of us ordered first, and a late arrival ordered after. Hers came and then it turned out our order had not been put through! Three of us ordered the same thing but each plate was totally different! Staff were disengaged Spa We never got a tour round, the changing rooms were not spectacular with flip flops and towels hung round and tissue on the sides. We were told Yoga was at 6.45 but wasnt told where so we had to navigate their ourselves. There were 15 in the spa but only seats for 6/7., because we hadnt got the tour we were not aware of further seating upstairs. The £50 we paid each included a beauty treatment which was a foot and leg scrub. This was done in the cafe area while others were eating cake and drinking coffee!! The plunge area was in total darkness I did ask about lights but she had no idea. The plunge area was advertised on facebook and it was very misleading as it was not like this at all. When I commented on the page my comment was removed and I was blocked!! The pool had a white foam on it. There was two tropical rain showers one side wasnt working. The twilight was 6-10 we left at 08.30. when we left it was dark. To walk back to the coach house it was again pitch black I mentioned it to the bar person and she said sorry about that we are working on it!!! All in all a awful experience, the duty manager agreed with our concerns but said it was out of control and we needed to speak to the general manager!

We booked a standard double room. This turned out to be in an old staff cottage alongside and lower than, a busy road. It was noisy and dark. The bathroom radiator did not work. Staff were pleasant and breakfast fine, but the room was very disappointing. Would not stay here again.

Not a stay that I would want to repeat. The steep and lengthy , steep 46 stair climb to our room and be greeted with a lovely window view of the dirty laundry carts outside wasn't something the hotel shows in their advertising blurb. ( no there isn't a lift to help carry your heavy suitcases up those lengthy stairs and long, long corridors. The room itself adequate, the bathroom a disgrace, incredibly tiny, a mountaineers agility needed to climb over the bath manouvre around the glass screen to get into the low powered shower. And when you get out, watch your feet on the many cracked and broken floor tiles. I say many, the room is so small you can almost touch all 4 walls without moving. The ONLY positive was the dining room staff, friendly, unlike the reception staff, and incredibly patient with our family group who kept them at their post way longer than the other very few diners. Will I return here, not on your life.
