The Running Horses

Our favourite pub for a few drinks. Had dinner in the restaurant for the first time and it was superb. Great food, excellent service and lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended.

A beautiful old pub full of of charm. The food was delicious - we ate dinner. Very friendly staff.

The Sandown room was a little cold so an extra blanket and larger heater would have been good. Plus we couldn’t work out how to keep the towel rail on so the bathroom was a bit nippy.

Food was excellent - we had both Dinner and Breakfast there & the quality of the food was amazing. The restaurant was also nicely decorated & light & the room was the same - very comfortable bed & nice furnishings.

The old bar area could do with a bit of TLC and we noticed the outside was being repainted which will also help the kerb appeal.

Quiet room

terrible parking. Staff not very friendly. No milk for coffee in the morning.

Wonderful quaint old building with spotlessly clean and well appointed room. Great bar and restaurant with genuinely fantastic food. All staff friendly, professional and efficient.

Parking can be a little awkward

Nice pub , comfy bed room , good location .

Disorganised hotel side . Had to wait in the bar to get sorted when we arrived . No one around next morning . Bathroom smelled of a rotting mouse or blocked drains type of smell which wasn’t pleasant . Not great value for money .

Dinner was very good,did not stay for breakfast

Unable to switch large overhead shower head to smaller one!
