What a Lovely old Pub/Building. With a lot of History. The food I had was Quality!! The prawn cocktail - Amazing . The beef short rib - Wow , easily enough for 2 people. Will def go back. Only niggle …….it was abit hot in there & parking is difficult

Lovely pub setting, friendly welcome and great service throughout my stay. Evening meal was excellent. The room was cleaning and appointed to a high standard. I would definitely be happy to stay there again. The only thing that let them down was the water temperature in shower. Even on the coldest setting the water was boiling hot, and I mean boiling. Too hot to stand under the water for more then a couple of seconds.

Lovely old fashioned bedroom. Deep bath. Quiet. Good food. Real fires.

Not enough coat hangers in wardrobe. Basin taps in bathroom are confusing

Our room 'Ascot' was large and well furnished. Only slight negative was poor heating. However, it is a 16 century former coaching inn. Quality of Dinner and breakfast was good.

Heating in the room could have been warmer. No hotel car parking. Had to park in the street.

Staff very helpful and friendly but there were a few issues worth mentioning. Very strong smell of bleach in the room coming from toilet, only one tea bag and no milk (had to ask 4 times for more), restaurant was quite cold say ate in bar (as did others), shower door would not stay closed, the cleaner was vacuuming when we came down to breakfast (noise + trip hazard) and also a mix up on payments that was resolved straight away. Food very good.
