Madang Lodge Hotel

I enjoyed my stay. But they don't offer any getaway trips for their aria, this makes it hard to organize as you need to find someone to go up town to another Motel to have a tour of the area. Even though the staff will take you to the town they don't have the recorse to take you on trips out of town. This is where it lacks the most.

In a country where even basic, run-down rooms can cost hundreds of dollars, it's nice to find this hotel which is reasonably upscale but has budget room options (no bathroom and no aircon, but in PNG you can't beat the price they charge for the budget rooms). Pool is nice and a good place to meet people. Restaurant is just OK. Good snorkeling just in front of the resort, but the access to the water can be a bit dicey over the jagged volcanic rocks. Staff was very friendly, although I had to ask every day why my towel kept disappearing and not being replaced.

バジェットルームは従業員用の部屋を貸している感じでした。一人旅ですので十分ですが、この値段であの部屋っでは、やはりパプアのホテルの高さを感じます。バジェットルームも高い部屋と同じ敷地内にあるため、セキュリティは一流です。ホテルレストランはかなり雰囲気が良い海の見えるテラスがあり、夜そこでビールを飲むのが気持ちよかったです。

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, Madang Lodge Hotel hat eine gute Lage und eine schoene und gepflegte Gartenanlage. Aber das Budget-Zimmer schaut total anders aus als das Foto auf Ihrer Homepage (der Manager hat bestaetigt, dass das Foto beim Budget-Zimmer eigentlich ein ca. dreimal teureres Zimmer darstellt), und es gibt keinen Kuehlschrank, wie in Ihrer Beschreibung erwaehnt. Mit anderen Worten, das Zimmer und die Sanitaeranlagen waren fuer uns eine boese Ueberraschung. Der nette Manager hat sich mit zwei gratis Upgrade-Naechtigungen in einem wie auf Ihrem Foto dargestellten Zimmer entschuldigt. Ich wuerde mir von Ihnen ebenfalls eine aehnliche Entschuldigung erwarten, sowie eine Berichtigung der Web-Informationen. MfG VH

Quite pleased. Competent and friendly staff at reception desk, helpful service. Though just booking a budget room you get full access to all hotel facilities like pool and fitness center.
