Verandahs

Verandas is ideally located close to Macrossan Street. The apartments are very comfortable and were perfect for our week stay with a young family. Sue went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and that we had everything we needed. Couldn’t recommend it higher.

Plenty of space and well-equipped. A short walk to loads of eateries, but nice place also for self-catering. Within easy walk to beach, shops, inlet. Appreciated the pool. Would have sat outside if the outdoor fan worked but not a significant problem.

My two teenage daughters and I spent a wonderful week at Verandahs. The apartment and pool/grounds were exactly as pictured on the website and matched my expectations. Sue and daughter Bec were unfailingly cheerful and helpful, and helped make our bookings on excursions easy and stress-free. The pool was lovely to use after a day of beach and it never felt busy or crowded, despite our stay in Port Douglas occurring during the Victorian September school holidays. The location was perfect - less than a minutes walk to the shops/restaurants, a short and pleasant walk to the Marina and the beach. Despite the proximity to the restaurants, we were never troubled by road noise. We wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in future. Thank you, Sue and Bec :)

Light, bright and clean,, and stocked with all you could need for a fabulous holiday. Great location - one block down from the Main Street so close enough to walk but lovely and quiet. Great pool and plenty of parking. All in all - the perfect place to stay and would recommend it to anyone. Thanks for contributing to a wonderful holiday.

We recently stayed at Verandahs Port Douglas & found it to be the perfect choice for us. The location of the apartment was just around the corner from the main street. This meant we were close to shops, restaurants, hotels & a short stroll to 4 mile beach. We were surprised how lovely the apartment was. It was spacious, modern & spotless. There was everything there to cook in but we did not use as we ate out each day. Could not speak more highly of the staff. As the apartments do not have a lift, Michelle who greeted us happily carried our cases up the stairs. Sue the manager also gladly arranged for this to happen on our departure. The staff were all bright & happy and could not do enough for us, which was much appreciated. We would gladly go back and recommend Verandahs as a perfect place to stay.
