Boutique Hotel Fortino

Perfect location, nice athmosphere and a lovely host. The room was small but well designed and the big balcony was a huge plus. We were able to cook a pasta meal in the kitchenette so you don't always need to go out to eat.

You could hear the upstairs neighbour quite clearly.

Communication between us was perfect.

We loved our stay! The hotel is really well located in the old town with easy walking distance to a local swimming beach and lots of restaurants and shops. Katerina in reception was so friendly and welcoming and helped to answer all of our questions and organise taxis and excursions.

Hotel Fortino has the perfect location in old town Chania: near the waterfront, a few blocks away from the main streets of old town, and there's good street food nearby. Plus, it's just a short walk to the free parking lot. The rooms themselves are clean, pleasantly furnished, and have a cozy loft feel to them. The kitchenette is minimal, but with such excellent dining options all around us it wasn't a problem at all. What really sets Hotel Fortino apart though, is the host Katerina. She’s incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely cares about her guests. She was always available to make sure that everything was right. She is a fantastic host!

From start to finish we enjoyed our stay in this exceptional two-level rooftop apartment with an extremely helpful, intelligent, communicative host, Katerina. Interior is very stylish and modern with all amenities, including an unobtrusive kitchen and washing machine. The roof terrace offers a 360 view of the mountains, sea and harbour but the jacuzzi makes it extra special. Could not recommend enough.

Hardly anything! The air conditioning unit is a little noisy outside the bedroom door and steps up to the terrace but its positioning means you have an uncluttered view after going up a few steps to the roof. The safe would be difficult to access for those with mobility issues but its in a very secure place as a result.

The best location ever!! The hotel feels very, very homely. the room is spacious and met all our expectations. Very very clean and the cleaning services were excellent. Katrina is an amazing woman!! Always available and gave us the best feeling in the world! We will definitely go back there

We loved our sweet room. It was clean and comfortable. There were treats and water waiting for us when we arrived. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. We liked the spiral staircase going up to the bedroom. Our hotel was perfectly located in wonderful, lively Chania for our plans to be near the water, restaurants, shopping, and transportation to other sites, like Elofinissi. When the tide was low, we could swim in the beach right near us. And maybe the most important thing is that our host, Katerina was wonderful. We arrived late at night and she left perfect instructions for us, and kept in touch with us, and answered all our calls. When we returned from the trip, I realized I had lost a personal item, and she tried to help me with it. Definitely recommend!

There was nothing we didn’t like. For a person who has a hard time walking upstairs, it might be a little hard.
