ananea Beyond Khaolak

Beautiful quiet location, lovely hotel with very kind and helpful staff. Excellent food , hotel rooms and cleanliness were also very good. Overall excellent, will return next year.

We spent a beatiful holiday in Ananea Beyond Khao Lak, and I can say that it was a dream vacation, as well as a getaway from reality. First of all I would like to thank to friendly reception staff, wo were so friendly, and fulfilled completely our requests during our stay. Special thanks to Film, Molly and Ake for being so nice. Furthermore I would like to praise breakfast team, and special thanks to Alma, for being so friendly and for the great service and conversation. Ananea Beyond Khao Lak is a beutiful resort, I would like to say a hidden gem, with a beautiful nature, animals, and the perfect for the people, wo are looking for the relaxing vacation and serenity. Nevertheless there are a good options to book a different trips from hotel such as Similan Islands, Phi Phi Islands, or to Phuket as well. Don't miss it. Similan Islands Royal trip was just amazing, and I would do it again. We booked a Garden Villa, which was nice, clean and comfortable. Except Garden Villas, there are also Villas with swimming pools. The only suggestion would be to renovate the bathroom area. Furthermore we would like to recommend Ananea Beyond Khao Lak, and if there is a chance in the future, we would came again to enjoy this magic resort, and kindness of Thai people. Too bad its not adults only anymore. Otherwise almost as stunning as it was previously. Rooms a bit worn and outdated even after partial renovation.

Everything was excellent! We loved it. There are also several small, genuine restaurants and massageplaces close to the hotel at the beach. Otherwise very calm and peaceful surroundings.

Celebrating our 8th (or is in 9th) visit to Thailand, our anniversary and a birthday. Located 15mins north of Kao Lak on the Pak Weep Beach is the newly re-branded Ananea Beyond Khao Lak Resort. Our eighth visit to this area since 2006 and first time at the "Beyond". We have walked past (on the beach) this resort many times on previous visits to Pak Weep Beach and have been very glad we made this our choice for 2025. We arrived on the 1st November for a 14 night stay which was just a week or so after it had re-opened for the season. The “Beyond” supplied excellent airport transfer from HKT to the Beyond Khaolak . The resort’s agent was at the arrivals barrier and easy to locate. Within minutes we were in or superb air con minibus and on our way. If you’ve ever been to Phuket airport you will know how chaotic that place can be! The drive north to Khao Lak (approx. 80mins ) is always “interesting” for a first timer so if you can keep your eyes open it will be an education into local standards of vehicle driving and maintenance. Lol. On arrival at “Beyond” – reception staff welcomed us with their wonderful smiles, greetings and a welcoming cool drink. Check-In is very quick with a minimum of fuss and documentation. Just keep your “Hotel Voucher” handy as well as your passports. Top Tip: The “Reception” area does lack ceiling or floor fans to keep you a cool but you aren’t their too long. The small Library/ Info room in the foyer has Air Con so if you’re feeling exhausted and the heat is getting to you ask if you can sit in there. The resort looks fresh and tidy and quite new after a 3-month period of deep refurbishment. The grounds and gardens are beautiful. The villas have all been updated in virtually every way. New furniture and decoration both inside and out. Excellent Air Con, plenty of Hot water and good toilettes. The team from Housekeeping kept our little villa immaculate and looked after our every need. The bed was decorated beautifully with, Swan Towels. flowers and the words Happy Anniversary. Thank you so much. It’s a medium sized resort that is well spaced out yet close to beach, restaurant and facilities. If the greenery is not established the view from your most villa patio’s is restricted to the rear wall and air con unit of the villa in front unit. Being very close to the pool (Premium Villa 1304) put us close to the loungers, bars, pool and beach that the villa patio was virtually unused. Note: Some drain gratings at the front/rear of the villas require replacing or reseating due to corrosion. Finishing touches to the refurbishment and some important maintenance was still in progress but did not affect us during our stay. The beach and pool sun lounger area is looked after by 2 great members of pool/beach staff that sort out loungers, parasols and towels as you arrive and if they think you want more sun protection they will fetch another parasol. After breakfast on most mornings (0830hrs) we made our way to the beach area so had the pick of were to be. The 2nd week of the holiday and as more people arrived some travellers were going to the beach area first to “Reserve” loungers before going to breakfast and then not pitching up until 11am!! (Bet you can’t guess the nationality!!) The pool area and bar are excellent. 4 pools lovely and clean and warm. There is a "No Glass" policy around this area with signs to let you know not to bring glass into it. The bar and pool staff do their best to enforce this but some folk just don't care and ignore the signs!! If you’re a smoker there is a large smoking area by “@Beach” bar and restaurant as there is also a “No Smoking” policy in the sun lounger areas. The main restaurant and its staff (thankyou to the Breakfast Chef, Alma and all the breakfast team. x) are true professionals in their surroundings. Always a smile and a warm personal welcome at breakfast sets you up for the day. An excellent selection of breakfast foods catering for all tastes. Not quite a Full English but its available if you want it. Also, a really nice selection of foods for a continental breakfast. “Motown on Fire” Restaurant was chosen for our anniversary meal and Wow what an experience that is. Welcomed by Cha, Kwang, Dan and the top man Robert we were treated to an amazing meal of Lobster, Fillet Steak, Scallops + much more. A true feast of a meal prepared by the top chefs of “Motown on Fire” Highly Recommended 5***** To summarise. An amazing holiday location with beautiful and attentive staff that are willing to always go that extra mile. The time spent rebranding, carrying out updates and maintenance has been well worth while Everything has been done to impress and make visitors feel at home in beautiful surroundings. We look forward to a return visit it the not too distant future.

We had a peaceful and quiet stay at this resort. It was very restful for us. The resort is undergoing major renovations so breakfast was a set menu with limited choices. It was sufficient for us however. The on-site dinner restaurant, Motown on Fire, provided a truly indulgent dining experience each night and is not to be missed. Guests who arrive after the completion of renovations will surely enjoy a new and memorable resort experience. All of the staff and management personnel are highly customer focused and always very obliging. Mr Robert Frei, the General Manager was exceptional in his customer service and care.

Posh resort with a lot of nice amenities. We enjoyed the beach cafe, spa and steakhouse. The jacuzzi jets in the swiming pool were really relaxing. Though it was the low season and there was quite a bit of construction/renovation going on, we had a wonderful time. Very friendly staff
