Love this Resort. Perfect for relaxing. A bit out of the way from main area and we probably would have been bored if we didn’t have a motor scooter to get around. This was our second stay here and we will be back

The staff at Beyond Khaolak was the best in all 41 countries I've been to. They were so accommodating and caring. The resort doesn't quite have everything you need but the services to the town, and the market bridge that gap. They also have a travel agent desk that can get you to almost anything you'd want to do in Thailand, from elephants, to beach getaways. The front desk will even help you with excursions not booked through the agent. Only 2 restaurants were open at the time of my visit but both were really nice. Again, the staff is who made it worthwhile, from eggs to order at the free breakfast, to booking a spa. The gym is also really nice - not simple dumbbells and treadmills. It's a full gym with weights, machines, bars, and benches. Walking the beach in either direction is also really nice. The beach right at the report isn't the greatest but a 5 minute walk left or right and there's shade and flat shores. I can't say enough about how nice a stay it was. The staff really make it a special experience. Khaolak isn't the most happening city in Thailand but Beyond Khaolak resort is arguably the most comfortable.

Wonderful escape, from start to finish. Food and drinks exceptional, staff amazing. Loved the space and the swimming pools.

Non existent "view" from the villa! From your terrace you are staring at the next villa's dirty wall (see photos) Rooms are clean but outdated. Restaurant prices are pretty high. $80 for a dinner, $4 for a cup of tea. We were going to restaurants on the beach with a Thai prices and good food. Staff is very nice and welcoming.

Had a great time at Beyond. Staff, food and beverages were excellent, special mention to Elma and her team. The resort is doing a lot of renovations to rooms and landscaping (as of May 2025). The Luxury Escapes deal we were on represented excellent value and would book again if became available.

From the moment we arrived we were taken care of. We had an all inclusive package with drinks included and we were not disappointed. The food from the breakfast buffet through to the dinner choice of buffet or a la cart was top notch. Beach was always clean and uncrowded. A perfect couples holiday.

Amazing stay, staff were friendly and fantastic, meals were plentiful, drinks were always ice cold at the bar and pool bar. We had a villa which was cleaned every day, comfortable and very private. The, on site, Motown steak restaurant has the best steaks l have ever eaten, again amazing service and staff. There's an air conditioned shuttle that runs daily into Khoa Lak village. This is an adult only resort, which makes for a relaxing and enjoyable time around the pool. Highly recommend Beyond Khoa Lak resort.

We got a great deal through luxury escapes so it made this top level resort very affordable. We upgraded to the elite villas with private pool which was just an awesome rooms. However these are the furthest away from beach, pool bar and dining facilities (500m) so would rethink that next time.

Absolute paradise. My wife and I had a wonderful 10 nights at Beyond resort. What made the difference to our holiday was the staff. All staff were wonderful and helpful. But we would like to mention a few, Deerzy, I hope that's the right name at the front desk was so helpful and kind and was a pleasure to speak to, all the front desk were. And then there is Alma that is always so wonderful and also a special mention to Tik i think her name is, she was so attentive and so nice. Our experience was so nice due to the wonderful hotel, but the staff, all the staff were special. Thanks for a wonderful holiday and we will most definitely be back.❤️❤️

We stayed at Beyond Khaolak 22-29 April 2025. We saw the TravelZoo deal and decided it was too good to pass up. My wife and I have traveled globally quite a bit and have stayed at many types of resorts and hotels from the Maldives to Hawaii and throughout Europe and the Mediterranean. Our takeaways of Beyond Khaolak and things we liked about it was how relaxing and quiet it was, until nighttime. We stayed in a Premier Villa right next to the pool. Every night there was live music, not good music, at the Beach Bar. They played until 11pm which made it very hard to fall asleep before then. That was very frustrating. During the day the resort was relaxing. The food at Motown Restaurant was pretty good. The breakfast buffet was pretty standard and nothing extraordinary. The buffet in the evening at the Beach Bar was not impressive. We eventually decided to eat elsewhere in the evenings. The pool area was a bit of a let down. If you compare the pictures online to what it looks like in person, you’ll get your feelings hurt. It was hard to believe that it was the same place. The beach in front of the resort was dirty and not kept well. We walked down in front of the Robinson and they had employees picking up trash and raking the beach. I picked up 3 pieces of broken glass off the beach in front of Beyond. There is nothing to do at the resort. We rented a car to go do things off the property cause other than laying around the pool, there were no activities. The staff was courteous, for the most part. There were two ladies at the Beach Bar who made us feel like we were a nuisance for asking for more water or asking for out bill when we were finished. The rooms are dated and it’s nice to hear they are doing an update soon. Most of the rooms on the property were unoccupied. Maybe it’s the low season. Our room had paint scratched and chipping off the walls. The furniture is dated and delaminated. The rooms basically were like cheap motel rooms. Nothing memorable about them. The cats were annoying as well. Don’t try to exchange your currency at the front desk. The rate she offered was not a fair exchange rate. We exchanged money in town. We had a nice time in Thailand, but would not recommend Beyond Khaolak to friends.
